  • It will definitely get easier! Also, you might want to go to class a little earlier and talk to the instructor. You have to make sure that your seat is adjusted properly along with resistance. I was completely confused with resistance signals my first day.
  • That sounds awesome!! Have fun :-)
  • I read that, but am I supposed to hold the vacuum, too? I am being 100% serious. I can seriously imagine holding the vacuum up, or out while tightening my abs at the same time!!!
  • This is an absolute serious question as I have never heard of the "vacuum pose". Does it actually involve a vacuum?
  • Forgot to add the nutrition info: Servings: 6 Calories: 156 Fat: 9 Sodium: 65
  • Great suggestions! It makes about 10 servings. The nutritional information includes the soup, not the bread. Unfortunately, I didn't exactly measure the serving size, but it is about 1 cup (8oz) or less. I just spooned it into a regular sized bowl. Also, the corn starch makes it thick, so you could also thin it out to…
  • Maybe you could try pilates or cardio pilates.
  • Just out of curiosity...what would you suggest for the farmer if he/she is interested in taking hcg? Is the protocol designed for people who are active?

  • Back when I was your age (OH SO LONG AGO!!) I would run about 3 times a week and incoporate hills. Once or twice a week I would add squats to the end of my work out. No fun at all, but it produced results! This routine would do wonders for my legs.
  • That's great!!!
  • I have big thighs, too. Unfortunately, you can't spot reduce fat. However, Jillian Michaels randomly gave some really good advice for thigh work. I used to do strength training on my legs, as well, but that is actually counter productive as it makes your leg muscles larger. Body weight training (i.e., pilates) is actually…
  • Her calzones are amazing, too! http://www.hungry-girl.com/newsletters/raw/1517
  • Yup. Add this to my list of positives.
  • I go to spin class before work at 5:45am and I LOVE IT! I do have to go to bed super early the night before, but it is worth it. I wake up and have a light breakfast (fruit generally), pack my bag and head off. I generally have more energy and feel better throughout the day.

  • Read this!! Please please please read it. It is an AMAZING post and it really helped me. Good luck! :flowerforyou: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/181080-mfp-s-most-common-user-pitfall-to-avoid
  • I share a similar point of view. I know for a fact that I will self destruct if I cut my favorite food (sushi) out of my life. So, I'm just not going to do it. However, I do need to be more modest in my consumption, so that has been my focus for the past month or so. When I first started MFP, I was going over my calories…
  • What is your goal? To hit your magical number before the vacation? Or, to visibly appear slimmer? If you are trying to look slimmer, it might be healthier to shoot to lose inches/tone. For example, something like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred really does tone quickly. Or, just doing some body weight training. While you…
  • oh wait, the smiley was supposed to go at the end!! Ugggggghhh! It looks so out of place at the beginning. Sorry!!!
  • Awwww.... Well, it's only been a week. I love love Jillian Michaels 30DS. I'm starting Banish Fat Boost Metabolism this weekend. Hopefully, this will assist in jump starting my weight loss (again). It is honestly taking my body awhile to respond to my new routine. We should both check back in next week! I have a feeling we…
  • I went through a very similar experience and had the EXACT same reaction. First off, relax. I'm not a medical expert or dietician, but I think there are factors to consider: 1. Did you weigh-in at the same time? I try to weigh-in at the same time (and wearing the same type of clothing) every week. 2. Did you have a heavy…
  • This is SUCH a great post! Last week I was really contemplating my 2lb a week "goal". It actually has been extremely counter productive for me, because it is somewhat impossible for me to obtain. I work anywhere between 50-60 hours a week, so I just don't have enough time to burn enough calories to fit in this little 1200…
  • C!!! Obsessing leads to stress which can hault your progress. Maybe stay away from high sodium foods today and eat super clean, but EAT!
  • I think with any social networking site, there are people who MIGHT have a hidden agenda. HOWEVER, most, actually all, of the people I have encountered on MFP are genuinely nice people. The atmosphere (and almost culture) of this site is super motivational. To be honest, when I first joined in January I was a bit taken…
  • A Laughing Cow light swiss cheese wedge on half of a sandwich thing. Auh-may-zing.
  • Looks like a great weekend treat! But it's more than a treat because its so healthy. YAAAY!
  • Thanks everyone! I was going to jump right into the half, but maybe I will train for the 10K, first. I appreciate the help:smile:
  • Go to "My Home" then "settings" then "Update Diary Settings" from there you can choose to make your diary public. Right .now, yours is not.
