I agree with this. There is nothing wrong with not being a morning person, just as there is nothing wrong with being a night owl. You have to find something that works for you. If you have missed flights because you can't wake up then I think you are going to set yourself up for failure by trying to force something that is…

Hello! I'm newly 40 and back on MFP. I just had my second baby in 2 years so I have a lot to lose. I'm trying to retrain my brain and not focus on a number. Instead I want to focus on overall fitness. I want to start lifting weights and get back into running, although I'm not interest in being in long distance running…

If you like the way it looks, then that is all that matters.

This isn't just a problem with dieting it is how it is with most things. Most people only see the outside result not the hard work that went into it. They see you wearing skinny jeans, but they don't see the 5am workouts.

Adding you!

@tflag1620 - Thanks for the advice! It is a lot easier to hit my numbers when I'm at home. I was at a conference last week struggling to eat well. It didn't dawn on me until after I could have asked for diabetic meals!

We told the family by phone as soon as we felt "safe", just before the end of first trimester. We announced it to FB on April Fools Day. Thought it would be funny to announce a real pregnancy on a day where everyone thought we were kidding.

Talk to your doctor and figure out the percentages then plug them into your MFP nutritional goals. I'm currently going through this process with my doc. Still waiting for my 3 hour glucola test.

Can't wait to try this! Thanks!

Call waist trainers what they are....CORSETS. Corset training can be harmful. They will restrict any type of movement in your midsection. Your lungs and bowels will be restricted which can cause constipation or infection. They can cause bruising and rib pain. Not worth it. *Edited for grammar

Insanity is insanely hard, but I love it. I personally do not follow the prescribed schedule. I tried but was not able to keep up. I started doing an every other day ex: M-W-F. On Tu-Th, I would go running/walking/cycling/yoga. I would absolutely recommend taking a rest day every week. In the beginning I took more than 1…

I love to run but hate the treadmill. Being outside is much better for me. That said, if you don't like to run then don't run. Find something that you really enjoy and do it. Try group classes, cycling, stair stepper (my fave), jump rope,.....there are just tons of options.

I like The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I was an absolute beginner and this really helped me get started. http://www.thenewrulesoflifting.com/nrol-for-women

I don't keep track of all the water I drink, but it is my drink of choice throughout the day. I do drink coffee in the morning and some herbal tea in the afternoon, but I cut out soda years ago and never looked back. As far as benefits here are the top 10 reasons to drink water (taken from the internet) 1. Increases Energy…

No it is not selfish, but I wouldn't take a loan to pay for it. Save your money and pay for it with cash. If you were able to lose weight by diet and exercise by living with a "food budget" then you have the discipline to save $10k in cash by living with a "money budget".

^^^ This is perfect. I would also add, come up with a mantra, something positive that you say to yourself everyday (don't tell anyone). Go one step further and make the first letter word your new password. That way every time you type in your password you have to tell yourself how awesome you are and you create a secure…

^^^ Love this!

I love all the ideas here. I don't reward myself, but I think I should for smaller goals.

Swimming is probably one of the best exercises you can do. It works your entire body. If you can sit you can do upper body exercises.

I keep banana "ice cream" in the freezer. Bananas are a great base for yummy "ice cream" and freeze really well. My latest favorite is 2 banana + 1 Avocado + 1 cup almond milk.....blend blend blend the freeze. I made 4 yummy 138 calorie popsicles from this mix.

Post was too long for me to read, but I have heard of the keto diet. I know a husband and wife who lost over 100 (combined) pounds. They've sustained it for over a year. What I don't like about it is the lack of fruit allowed.

I've gotten a lot of make-ahead crock pot meals from here: http://www.mommysfabulousfinds.com/2013/10/easy-crock-pot-freezer-meals-2.html When my mom was sick, I made a month's worth for my father (hopeless in the kitchen), just so he wouldn't eat out every day. He LOVED them. They freeze easily.
