  • The husband of one of the girls I work with is running this one!
  • Hi. I am a carb junkie myself and really suffer withdrawals when I stop carbs. You have reached Day 2. Congratulations. You will be better by Day 3 and the weight loss!!! Wow! you won't believe it. So stick to it unless you are exercising heaps - ni which case you will need your carbs for energy.
  • Hello. I guess we all get a bit impatient and want to see a massive improvement when we start on our weight loss journey. However, just remember that it took you five years to gain all that weight! I think you have done great losing as much as you have in 7 weeks. Just be patient and consistent and you will continue to…
  • How did you know your calorie burn before you got your HRM? I use the treadill, bike and elliptical at the gym and there is a huge difference between what the machine says and what my HRM says, i.e. the machine says over 500cals but my HRM says 380. I follow my HRM because the machines caters to everyone but my HRM has my…
  • Yes, I too love the Polar FT7. No guess work. Happy birthday - make sure you get that present as it is well worth it.
  • I love grilled tilapia! Never found it fishy. Maybe the one you bought wasn't fresh? If you cook it in foil, try using chopped up onions and tomatoes. The flavour just goes through the fish - delicious!
  • Thank you for sharing that site. Have printed off some low cal recipes to try.
  • I have a Polar FT7 and I love it!!! Of course I don't like the fact that the treadmill, elliptical, etc tells me I have used up more calories than my HRM BUT I know my HRM is more accurate because it has all my data. Good value for money.
  • Have you pointed out to her your concerns for her health? As well as how she can make healthy choices in her food? If you have, I guess you just have to leave it in her hands. She is, after all, an adult and her choices are in her hands alone. My mother was a smoker - had asthma and emphysema. But no amount of my nagging,…
  • I have an Omron 113 which I have had for a couple years and I find it is excellent. It resets itself daily and has a host of other features. It wasn't cheap though but was worth it because the cheap ones either log steps when you haven't done any, reset themselves, or don't log steps even when you have already done 50!!!…
  • I think it is called MINDFULNESS. This is a precious gem you have gifted to us - thank you.
  • It is natural to be anxious about any test. I know I would be too if I had to take one, even though I have been driving for over 30 years! It might help if you actually verbalise your anxiety to the person doing the test. I know this has helped me in the past during interviews. And "failing" - no such thing until you stop…
  • Have a lot of carrot, celery, etc, chopped up and handy to munch/snack on.
  • My two cents worth - water has no calories so if it 45 calories, before the water, I would assume it would be 45calories after mixing with water.
  • Maybe if you can be more mindful before you put that food in your mouth and focus on how awful you would feel if you ate it (we usually focus on how good it tastes!!!). That works for me. hope it helps you too
  • Thank you for sharing. The information was most helpful.
  • I totally agree with you - It is an awesome site. It will surely help you attain your weight loss goal as long as you stay focused on what you truly want. Welcome!
  • Don't knock it! You have done awesome! Keep at it.
  • I live in Newcastle - does that count? If it does, I'm in!
  • You can add me as a friend if you like. This site is awesome for keeping you on track. :flowerforyou:
