  • I eat whatever tickles my fancy, whenever I feel like it. Chocolate cake at 10 am? Sure. I also don't log any of it. If I feel like being active and working out, then I will, but if I don't feel like it, then I just won't. The good thing is that I usually can't have many off program days (I try to avoid calling them…
  • Replacing/altering your clothes. I have some beautiful skirts and party dresses that are now way too big, but they're so cute and one of a kind. I don't want to throw them out or donate them especially because they'd now look even better on me then they did when I was bigger, so I'm staring down the long process of either…
  • 1. I put on this size 8 dress that used to be tight, but now it's kind of roomy. Ayy ay ay ayyyyy. 2. A few months ago, I was talking about food with a coworker, when this really rude girl that we also work with butted into the conversation and said to me "Oh but you don't have a diet that you have to stick to, you just…
  • Looking at your diary, you're hungry because you're wasting calories on carbohydrate rich food. This means that you're probably eating very small portions, which of course, you're gonna get hungry if you're only eating a little. Plus, the way that carbs metabolize in the body, they don't keep you full for that long. So a…
  • Okay, good to see that it's not just me. It's so annoying lol. Question, does anyone know if the steps/calories will sync up retroactively after this gets fixed?
  • Once you get used to it, it's really fun to eat a higher fat diet. Personally, I'm a fat fiend lol. I started doing it simply because it sounded like fun to eat bacon and cheese and peanut butter and to still lose weight, and when I read the science on it, it made a good bit of sense. And of course, once you start seeing…
  • I am! IF is the only thing that has helped me lose weight and keep it off. I started doing it in...Fall of 2011, and more or less, I've been doing it ever since then. I'm pretty sure it's the only reason why even when I've fallen off the wagon hard, I've never even come close to going back to my original weight. My window…
  • I try not to eat them. If I'm hungry enough, I will eat some but only eat back like 1/3rd to half of them. It doesn't make sense to me to eat them all. If you earn extra money, you're not supposed to just go out and spend it. I treat my exercise calories the same way. It works for me.
  • I fit into a size small legging at Old Navy and it doesn't get see through or show my whole *kitten* when I bend over.
  • I do think that a partner has a right to speak up if they feel you are too thin or too large. I think the conversation should be handled respectfully and kindly, but your weight and health is their business just as much as it is yours because your lives are now wrapped up in one another's. Personally, if I meet someone who…
  • I agree, walking is awesome exercise. On days when I can't get to the gym, I try to get out and just walk a few miles, and while it's not as good as a vigorous workout, it does make a difference. Definitely try to seek out different terrain. Hills, valleys, stairs...they are all going to really help bring up your heart…
  • If it's not about the food, then its not about the food. Have you tried therapy? You sound like an emotional eater, and no matter what tips or tricks or whatever you try, if you don't deal with the underlying issues and develop some coping strategies that will help you not binge, then you'll never really be free. I'm a…
  • Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why you are choosing surgery? And will you be getting the full bypass or just a sleeve or a lap bad procedure? I am not judging you or your choice; I'm just genuinely interested because 227 doesn't seem to me like it would be so heavy as to require surgical intervention and I always…
  • Avocados. They're like if someone blended grass into a stick of butter and handed it to you to eat. Disgusting.
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/3VVXZT I'm pretty active and love participating in challenges! Add me!
  • Exactly this. I do not weigh anything if I'm making it from my own recipe. I just put in all my ingredients, decide how many servings I want to get out of the dish (usually, I just do this by putting in the different amounts until I hit a good equilibrium between amount of food, calories, and how many days I can stretch…
  • That's what I do and it works fine. Only thing is if you do it too often, you get used to eating more so if you can't exercise, it can rebound. Like I was running 5+ miles a day at one point, which let me eat sooo much more. I also intermittently fast, so it was glorious. I would like fast, eat some steamed veggies for…
  • Finishing everything I planned to do is a big one, but I agree, when I feel so tired afterwards that I can't think and am not worried about anything, that's a good workout. Since getting my FitBit, I also aim to burn 400+ calories. It's an arbitrary number, but I find that if I don't hit it, I feel disappointed in myself,…
  • I went shopping at Forever 21 and for the first time ever, I actually fit into their normal sizes. It was a fairy tale lol.
  • I've always eaten dinner at like 10 or 11 pm. Sometimes even at 1 am, depending on when I got home that night. As long as I stuck to my allotted calories in total, I haven't had problems losing weight.
  • This is a good problem to have lol. I don't know what your current diet is like (that information would probably help you get more helpful responses lol) but off the top of my head, I would just add or increase the things that are still clean and pretty nutrient-dense, but a little higher in calories than vegetables. So…
  • Weight loss has helped mine become way less noticeable. I used to have really bad ones on my stomach, thighs and arms, but since losing weight, I only see them if I am looking for them or if I look at my skin at the right angle or if I stretch out my skin to make them more prominent. I also use bio oil and cocoa butter,…
  • Physically, I like my eyes and I love love love my legs and ankles. If my legs could not grow hair, they'd be perfect in my eyes. Non-physically, I like my sense of humor and the fact that I'm a very giving and big-hearted person.
  • I was in the minority kid group. There were 28 of us in a school of about 400 and we were the only ones on financial aid, so we had to make our own clique LOL.
  • Hufflepuff and proud.
  • I think this is something everyone struggles with, especially if you've been big all your life. I used to wear a 22 and now wear a 10. Even though I mentally know that I can find my size on a straight size rack, I still get nervous shopping in straight stores because for some reason, I still feel like nothing will fit. I…
  • I didn't at first, just because in the past when I told people that I was losing weight, I didn't follow through and it was embarrassing. This time though I stuck with it, and it ended up being really funny to see friends and family realize for the first time that I was getting smaller. It took about 30 pounds for people…
  • There are alot of weight loss forums and weight loss subforums of other forums out there....if you don't like MFP's, then try one of them. The internet is too big to be sad because the people on one forum are not nice enough for you.
