  • Wow I'm so out of the loop, I thought Low GI was basically the same as low carb. I will have to look it up. Maybe it will be easier??
  • No we have not been to any of these islands :) All new to us, so all the info you can give would be greatly appreciated :)
  • We are considering the Bacardi tour! Do you recommend it??
  • Are you anti splenda?? The new Mio Water Enhancers are really yummy. Or if thats a no go, I love love love lemon in my water. Usually put 2 good size slices. “MiO is sweetened with Sucralose, a calorie-free, artificial sweetener that is 600 times sweeter than sugar. Generally, non-nutritive sweeteners are calorie free in…
  • I'm no professional when it comes to this stuff.... but if you get hungry maybe try eating a healthy snack and then recognizing the fact that tomorrow is your day to start fresh. :) Don't beat yourself up for it. Start fresh in the morning.
  • *SLAP!* only kidding ;) One of my MFP friends posted this a while back, I copied it and made it part of my desk top background. I don't always have good days, and I too have been slipping a lot lately, but seeing this everyday does help and make me feel good... maybe it will help you too? DO YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH? If you…
  • I completely understand where you are coming from. Some days I have to force myself to eat because all I can think about are the calories. Lately I have gotten off track, but when I'm following MFP like I should be I HATE seeing my calories over 800! And it's completely psychological and I have to learn that it's ok. I do…
  • I've had plenty of customers ask me when I'm due. One man in particular stands out, after telling him I was not expecting he asked me "are you sure about that?" Are you freaking kidding me? Who says that after someone is clearly embarrassed after you just asked them their due date when they aren't even pregnant?! Then he…
  • I also have PCOS. Was just diagnosed at the beginning of the year. Surprisingly I lost a good amount of weight in 3 months, but now am at a standstill. Hubby and I have been trying to conceive for about 6-7 months now with no luck. It's definitely depressing at times. Was only put on Metformin a little under a month ago,…
  • Thank you so much for this post! This is exactly how I have been feeling lately, so out of control and down and out about not being able to conceive. This is just the reminder I needed. We need to stay positive and have faith in not only God, but ourselves! It's definitely not easy, but we CAN do this.
  • Awesome! Keep up the good work! You look amazing :) Congrats on your success!
  • I also have PCOS and was just recently diagnosed (Feb 2011). So far weight loss has been going ok, but not as quick as I'd like it to ;) About 3 weeks ago I started taking Metformin in hopes to help with conceiving. (we've been trying since Aug 2010) After only one week of Met I started my period after 3 months of not…
  • We like the roasted pepper and the garlic lovers hummus. Usually I eat it with a whole wheat pita bread, but just recently I heard it was yummy with baby carrots. Now I LOVE it with baby carrots. I know lots of people enjoy it with pepper strips, but we're not big fans of raw peppers here.

  • Thanks everyone!!! Like I said, it's definitely been a journey... but every day is a little step closer and closer to what I truly want. :)
  • There is a website that I came across where you can purchase used DVDs and they had a few on there, this is the main reason for asking.
  • Maybe you could try buying almond milk from the store. We get Silk Almond milk and love it! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_bLNou4bAMoQ/S7U03DOGlqI/AAAAAAAAFcA/8cDW5bqkjXY/s1600/sk_HG_PureAlmdOrig+20100304.jpg

  • Ohhh.... we also have tried making tacos, but instead of using traditional shells we use a full slice of lettuce. Hubby loves it and we use extra lean ground beef or ground turkey. Might even try one time with ground chicken :)
  • We absolutely love this recipe at my house... haven't made it in a while because it's a little time consuming but only about 380 cals for 3 shells isn't too bad! And you can modify the ingredients however you prefer :) We serve with non fat sour cream. If they're not filling enough a salad goes well with this dish :)…
  • I've been dying for a Chicken & Ribs Dinner from Happy's Pizza.... Ugh I can't even imagine the nutritional content of that dinner...
  • I love the hot and sour soup! Not sure the nutrition on it but its yummy!!
  • Figured it out ladies! Oopps it was set for a 30yr old MALE. I'm a 24yr old FEMALE lol oopps. Hubby figured it all out, set my low and max heart rate, so hopefully tomorrow it will be more accurate :) I'm really big on Breast Cancer Awareness and he found a breast cancer one at Target and knew I would love it :) Nothing…
  • I've been doing pretty good with MFP and tons of cardio. But I'm wondering if I would do better if I started watching carbs also. I have also considered something called carb intercept... read good things about it, just don't know if it will help with me considering I have PCOS. We shall see. So happy to have people I can…
  • I posted about this just the other day :) I hate knowing I have to lose weight just to gain it back with a pregnancy but we do what we gotta do. I keep a positive mind knowing less weight will (in hopes) help with a better pregnancy all around. We have already been trying for 6 months with no luck, so hopefully once I get…
  • My daily goal from MFP is 45, I've been as little as 6 over to 20 over. I'm a 24, 5'3" AND 170lbs goal weight is 120-125
  • I found this recipe online and tried it out for a family get together, haven't made it for one person who hasn't liked it. Super yummy and super easy... 1 pound ground turkey 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon dried minced onion (optional) 1 egg 1/2 cup crushed cheese flavored crackers (we…
  • Wow that's so awesome others are also losing to help with conceiving! Hopefully I can share this journey with you all!!! Learning this site is a lil hard for me though so hopefully I can keep up with who is who haha ;)
  • I've heard that the games are sort of tricky. I've heard complaints that just shaking the control gives you perfect scores and makes it hard to get through training sections. I do not own the game, however, if this is true I think I would rather spend the $$ on the dvds and toning sticks then a game that isn't really…
