This works best for me too. I think I'm set at 50f/30p/20c. Have never been happier. A load of other digestion issues have resolved as well as getting tighter (reducing bloat) and losing weight. It really he to each their own.

I quit Diet Coke and then quit smoking ans started back with the Diet Coke. **** it. I win. No smoking = I win. Drinking 8 gallons a day. There is no amount of Diet Coke that is worse for your health than smoking.

I have them. I don't even notice them anymore but they are there... Two kids that I love caused them. I still rock a bikini

Why drink something you hate? Why not just not consume alcohol? Offer to be DD. Be the picture taker (and black mailer *wink wink* Seems like an awful lot of work to do something you don't want to be doing....

You're good with food. As long as you are within your macros (carbs, protein, fat). Trying adding sprints for weight loss, cardio & strength in one package.
-
You're fat. Lose weight. Obviously I'm kidding but I'll give an absurd answer to an absurd question. This isn't a question you should even ask anyone but yourself. Stop seeking attention for self worth and decide what is best for yourself. Once you decide your goals, this place has tons of advice on how to attain your…

Not drinking is a good start... Binge exercise sucks. It sucks because the way exercise works, both cardio and strength, you break down your muscles and they rebuild = you get stronger/you develop stamina. You never capitalize on the compounding nature of exercise if you aren't somewhat consistent. Don't go full-retard…

The thread is long gone... might as well discuss...

Why is Atkins an "inherent bad diet"?
-
"You can't out-train a poor diet." Not saying that anyone's diet is poor BUT just because Insanity is INSANE doesn't mean that it is the one magical fix. Combing Insanity with a good diet is a great start to a weight loss journey!

True story.
-
It is so sad that some really go answers to the OP's question exist in this thread but they are hard to find because of grandstanding and combative BS.
-
You can always start with Focus T25. It is a shorter version of Insanity.
-
This is true... but your macro goals change based on your personal body comp, goals and history. What should be the macro goal for insulin sensitivity? low fat oxidation?

I agree with him... I think paleo is stupid. But I think any diet where I can't consume peanut butter is stupid. I'm deeply attached.

for some... but it stands to reason that if she has reacted well to low-grain in the past that LES from high fats is probably not the cause of her GERD.

Gluten wrecks havoc on digestive system for SOME (not all but some) people. (Cutting other grains like barely, corn, etc. have not been specifically tested (that I can find) and its probably not necessary to cut them unless you don't like them... and I don't) http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/581691 "Conclusions: The…

I agree with this completely... play around with your carb intake. Also play around with your gluten intake. It is possible that you simply have a gluten-intolerance and it is unnecessary for you to cut out all grains. I also suggest cutting back on casein for reflux issues. I say this all from experience. I have horrible…

I stopped reading at the first incorrect fact... something about the 1970s and calorie counting... this is hogwash. I can eat 6 lbs of all-natural, organic cheesecake (infused with the sweat of the great yogis in the world) daily. I'm not going to lose. Calories count.

This cannot be answered by a bunch of people spitting broscience on a message board. Most likely you can lose weight without going low carb... BUT we don't know your sugar levels, or your insulin levels. We don't really have a history of your diet or weight management. Here is a great article that will give you a…

I'm addicted to sugar-free instant vanilla pudding.... and I'm not ashamed. :-P
-
Ummmmm.... no. Unless you are really young, you should know that low-carb diets are some of the longest reaching lifestyle changes dating back to the early 1900s when it was first hypothesized that insulin was related to the pancreas rather than the kidney, and before they could treat sugar imbalances with medication.

This explains why that is the case. It is a good read. Very objective. http://www.gnolls.org/3637/what-is-metabolic-flexibility-and-why-is-it-important-j-stantons-ahs-2013-presentation-including-slides/ It is very easy for thin people, naturally or through work, to say, "They should just.... " and fill in the blank with…

Mine is set at 35/25/40 F/C/P... basically because I don't eat grains or sugars and I don't like seeing my fat in the red.
