Well it was a semi fail. I checked it after 15 mins of swimming and there were a few small drops of water in it. Trying a water tight pouch next.

Yes. Definitely incorporate weight lifting into your routine!

I have an arrhythmia as well. My heart rate doesn't go as high as yours but it's scary enough at what it does get to. Try Turbo Jam or other forms of kickboxing. It's a great high intensity workout without too much jarring up and down. And there is a person there for modification if something is too strenuous. Good luck!

Black or with a teaspoon of coconut oil. It's good fat and makes it taste like toasted coconut. Or sometimes a sprinkle of nutmeg and cinnamon. I avoid artificial sweeteners and creamers.

I couldn't have said it better. Make your health a priority. That $100.00 tv bill? Not really all that important in the scheme of things. Your health is :)

Just my niece and I making each other laugh :)
That is why I try to urge people to buy local, instead of the big box or chain markets. The Farm to Table movement needs to come back.
I didn't realize it had gone away. It's a very big movement up here in the bay area. Beyond organics, free range, local..Pasture raised (different than free range in that…
Unlike other threads I have been on pertaining to this subject, I think there was a lot of respectful and useful discourse. I even made a few friends from it, and not all vegans either. I think there is merit in trying to understand each other, and get past stereotypes and judgments. I think we just see things…

I just have to say you rock :) My foster squirrels thank you for your kind comment!

Really? Because every vegan I have as a friend (and I have many from working in a Wildlife rescue) has made it clear that I could never truly be a vegan or vegetarian. I've even had some not so friendly vegans tell me that I am a hypocrite for rescuing wild animals and take animal derived medication. How's that for a nice…

You are exactly the kind of vegan I DON'T mind being around. More power to you! I wish all vegans were like you :)

I couldn't have said it better than this. If you are vegan and don't preach to me about it then I am all for it. If you get in my face and try to convert me, I shut you out. I eat a lot of vegetarian meals, whole foods, organic, local, and unrefined food as much as possible. I stay away from the Big Ag bad boys and try to…

I had calorie burns like that when I was busting my butt at 292 lbs as well. For the amount of activity you are doing (several hours a day) I would say you are probably in the ball park. It seems like you are doing a really great job with exercise so your focus should be your diet. The foods you are eating aren't really…

I would say you need more whole unprocessed foods like fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, ancient grains like quinoa and spelt, legumes, avocados, healthy oils like Olive and coconut etc etc. Its OK to eat things out of a box but it should be in moderation. The more whole foods, the better. I am for less than 20% of my diet.…

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/quinoa-and-black-beans/ I use one less can of beans. All low sodium and organic ingredients, squeeze lime on it and double the cilantro (I LOVE cilantro). Really really delicious!

Inspiring blog. You couldn't have said it any better. I follow your philosophy as well and I WILL obtain as good of results as you have. Already on my way. Way to go!!!!

It's a slow process. Give it time and remember that the number on the scale isn't what is important; the positive changes you are making within your body are what matters. :)

Awesome!! You look really amazing! You are extremely beautiful, even in the before pictures. From your pictures it is obvious that you are a radiant and confidant person and those qualities speak volumes. Thank you for sharing your transformation. You are an inspiration to many!

I just got my Wii a few weeks ago. So far I have been doing Gold's Gym Cardio workout (it's boxing) and it pretty much flies by. I have also heard good things about Samba de Amigo *(dancing), Walk it Out and punchout! (boxing). I am getting the first two this week and will let you know. I also bought Gold's gym Dance…
