To be fair, that one is for 1/4 cup of pureed avocado. But I do agree, a whole avocado would be about 9 points in this system.
-
Without getting into whether or not WW "punishes" certain foods, it should be noted those values are for a quarter of an avocado. So a whole avocado would be ~8 points (probably + or - 1 depending on how it rounds as you add up four quarters). I'd say 9 pts is within that ballpark.

I lost tons of weight using WW online. I paid for 3 months (back in 2012 or 2013, I'm forgetting) to "learn", then transitioned to using an Android app called "Value Diary" that does the exact same thing. It is a one-time purchase for $4, I think. It works better than the actual WW app in terms of functionality. I liked…

Anyone can add me. 25 female, in maintenance since Oct 2013 - but I'd especially like to add some other maintainers.
-
The good news is this: You absolutely CAN do it! Whether you CHOOSE to do it is entirely up to you. 23lbs is still progress, and you should applaud yourself for that. With a concentrated effort, you'll be able to get where you want to be. Like mom24uk said, calculate what your TDEE is (plenty of threads on here) and…

Welcome back, and best of luck with your return!
-
I was in maintenance (since Oct 2013), but am being very strict with tracking right now due to a recent gain. Hoping to go back to "maintenance" soon. Happy to add anyone!
-
Hero for sure.

That depends on who you ask. A lot of people could care less, but I like it so I drown myself in it. And I promise you, you are not alone in your interest in dark, depraved monarchs. :)

I'm a huge Egypt nerd, especially between 2000BCE-1000BCE (middle kingdom, second intermediate period, new kingdom). But hey, all of Egypt's ancient history is fascinating to me. I am so full of trivia about it that it's obnoxious. ...Honestly, I try not to get talking about it in front of people who aren't my husband…

I'm 25. I'm in maintenance right now (since October 2013), but I am pretty active. I'm logging very carefully right now trying to take off some vacation weight I put on. I lost 80 lbs from age 22-23, and now I'm just here trying to stay on top of things. Add if any of that works for you! NOTE: By the by, anyone in this…

This is very true. I have returned to full cut mode (no more "try to eat at desired maintenance"). I'm also - in the future - likely going to have to pay much closer attention to where my maintenance numbers actually are... Thank you for the straightforward input, it's helpful.

This is possible, and I have *not* been taking measurements... but I'm certainly going to start. As far as clothes go, I still fit in the same clothes and they don't seem any tighter, but I was chalking that up to the fact that it was a (relatively) small gain. I also agree that a re-doubling of focus is in order. I do…

All of these are very good points. I appreciate the reply. You may be onto something with habits that have changed without my awareness. Something to think about for sure.

It is just frustrating that what was working before is no longer working. I have begun restricting more this week, so we'll see how that goes. It is possible I have overestimated my TDEE, although I'm not sure why what worked for a year suddenly isn't doing the trick. That's why it was in quotes. :P I'm aware.

I'm 23, going to be 24 in February. Graduate university in May 2012. Anyone looking for a pal can add me! I log almost daily. :)

I wouldn’t mind adopting someone. Last year on January 1st (2013), I weighed 195 pounds. I had already lost 22 pounds off of my record high weight of 217 (I am a 5’6’’ female). But the new year was when I chose to “get really serious” about my weight loss. My motivation was coming from the fact that was 22 going on 23 with…

I love, love, love my fitbit one. I've had it just under a year and don't go a day without it anymore. I have never lost mine *knock on wood*, but my mother lost 2 of them before giving up. (I keep mine in its little silicon holder and clip it to my pocket, facing inward so that the device itself is inside the pocket). For…

For me, it was a medical diagnosis around Fall 2012. I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which is very odd given my age (early 20s). I knew it was time to change or I was going to wind up with liver cirrhosis and needing a transplant someday. It's a poorly understood disease and I may still have issues…

Just wanted to say welcome and wish you luck! You can do this. There are loads of great resources on this board, so make sure to do a bit of exploring!

Thank you for posting this. I'll get to join on May 2nd of this year. Great motivation! I put a reminder in my phone calendar... :)
-
I'm really glad that you found out the results and were able to use it as a tool to motivate yourself! Like you said, it's best to have found out early. :)

Ajacot - any updates? How was the procedure? Did it give you and your doctor any answers?
-
Hi ajacot, I can completely understand your fear and anxiety. I have not had a liver biopsy, so I can't tell you what it's like, but I can certainly sympathize with how you are feeling. One of my doctors mentioned the possibility of a biopsy and it scared the hell out of me. Please let us know what you find out and I wish…

I know this is an older thread, but I'm saving it since I'm now having a similar problem.
-
I would say that mine helps. A lot of my weight loss has been motivated by a health condition that puts me in the position of needing to keep my weight in check or risk very serious complications that could lead to an untimely death. I very much like being alive and my fiancé is big part of why I am so happy. I want to…

I will never understand what makes people go out of their way to do or say something cruel to another human being. It is utter non-sense and I am so sorry that you happened to cross paths with such @$$hats. You've made awesome progress so far and will continue to do so. At the end of the day, it's all for you anyway. No…

Bumping to save for later. Om nom nom...

Bumping so I can watch when I get home. Thanks for posting!

DEFINITELY get fitted. I recommend Nordstroms, don't go to Victoria's Secret if you have a fairly large bust. I'm a 34H (5'6'', 139 lbs) and the only way to avoid things spilling out is to wear the right size. Your measurements might surprise you, especially post-baby and post-weightloss. I hope it goes well for you! Edit:…
