  • I have plantar fascitis as well. The treadmill is probably not helping it. My doctors recommend I use a bicycle or swimming for exercise. It does help tremedously to use the shoes with curved bottoms like sketchers, where you take the pressure off your heels. These have saved my life. Also tape your arches before you…

  • Chicken soup couldn't be easier. All you need is a pre-cooked rostierre Chicken (you can use white meat only), large container of fat free chicken broth, frozen mixed vegetables or peas and carrot mix. Noodles can be your choice, you can do a no yolk egg noodle, whole grain noodle, or I have been using the tofu noodles. If…
  • Welcome. You took the first step. You'll do great. A very handy tip is to fillout your diary the night before for the next day. It really helps you when you know what you can and can't eat. I always look at my diary when I want to add something to a meal, knowing I have to have available calories.
  • I do the exact same thing. Usually I will pop a werthers sugar free original candy in my mouth or a cup of hot tea.

  • I feel you. I got a reaccurence of plantar fasticis from what the doctor says is running. He says each time it will get worse and harder to rid of. Problem being I loved running in the c25k program. He and physical therapist both tell me I shoudn't run. 5 want to anyway as I love the way it made me feel. I did try running…
  • Have you seen your Doctor? I would start there. Then is there anything better than a nice long walk or a long soak in a hot bath with a great book. Two of my favorite de-stressers

  • There is helpful information of the link I attached that allows you to calculate how much water you need for your height and weight. 8 glasses a day is recommended for everyone but water is like calories, your body has an individual need. Hope this is helpful. http://nutrition.about.com/ (Go to water calculation)
  • I had lost my mojo as well. It really helped me when others in my family joined me on MFP. We now talk daily and it keeps me in check. Maybe you can find some others to join you.

  • I thought that myself when I did c25k. I was amazed when I did it. Aslong as you continue on the plan I'm betting you will breeze throught it. By the way I'm 55, very overweight, and the most exercise I had before this was going to the frdge. Needless to say if I can do it, anyone can. Tips, ipod, chewing gum, tissues, and…
