  • I’m having the same issue. It’s especially frustrating because I have just returned to logging and things I know I would have entered aren’t coming up. This app has really gone downhill. ☹️
  • I use a polar heart rate monitor. I've found for me (43 yo, 150-ish lbs) the calories burned per mile are about 75 for low impact mile and 90-100 for boosted, high impact miles. These numbers include using my arms more than Leslie does.
  • I had 25mg last month and my new doctor upped me to 100mg last week. Besides making me super thirsty some days, the only other side effect I've had is headaches. With the 25, that went away after a week. So far, I'm on day 9 with the 100 and still having headaches, but they do seem to be lessening.
  • The 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk (all low impact) and 4 Fast Miles (boosted/jogging) have the best calorie burns for the length in my testing. Belly Blasting Miles or 2 Fast Miles are good for days when you need a short workout.
  • I don't know why, but they've managed to screw up the recipe creator/editor portion of my app more than ever! Now I can't edit a recipe at all. If I try to add something or change an ingredient, it comes up with chicken soup to add and that's it. I'm so frustrated!
  • Thanks, guys. I asked the nurse what the doctor thought I should do now when she called with my test results and 48 hours later, she still hasn't called back, even after I left a message yesterday. I also requested a copy of the lab results in the message. I've had TSH, free T4, free T3, tested and they are normal (on…
  • It depends on weight and how much you put into it, of course. But also on how much energy you have. (I burn less when sleep deprived.) I'm sure there are other factors. I weigh around 153-ish today. I don't usually do the 5 Advanced Miles since it's so long and I get tired of digging out all of the equipment, but I had…
  • I use a Heart Rate Monitor and only burn about 75 cal per mile unless it's one with lots of boosts. Before the HRM, calorie burns were overestimated using Aerobics. I seem to be in the minority, but it's worth mentioning for those who might be there with me. A HRM was the best gift ever! Just today, I did the 5 Mile Fat…
  • Calories are based on raw meat so if you're weighing it after, you could be consuming many more calories. I cooked 32 oz of chicken tonight so that was 8 servings at 110 calories each. After cooking, meat becomes more calorie dense so it weighed only 20 oz when divided by 8 equals 2.5 oz servings. If I had still eaten 4 oz…
  • A combo of drinking too many calories (sweet tea and several cups of sweetened coffee with cream), eating little but ridiculously bad foods, PCOS and then to top it off, my thyroid went bad and didn't get diagnosed for years so that added some, too. But mostly, it was the calories in drinks. I eat more now but much better…
  • Yup, me too. I bought a jar to make cookies for the holiday and by the time I made them, there wasn't enough PB left for the cookies. I also try to limit leftover meat and extra cheese. These are the things that I'll graze on if they're around. I'll go for meat over a cookie.
  • I love livefitrevolution! That's the workout plan that I'm following. I've gone through the 1st phase twice as I've increased weight, but I'm going on to Phase 2 as soon as I get a new one! I guess I should have gone back there to ask, but didn't think of it. I remember her guideline as far as size, but didn't remember any…
  • Thanks for the advice! I'm not replacing the 20 lb (yet). At this point, I can still only use it for 2 handed swings anyway so I'm looking for a 15 lb for everything else. I'm not ready to snatch 20 lbs yet (I tried yesterday at the store with a Gold's Gym brand) and can barely do a bottom's up catch/press with 12 lbs so I…
  • Sure, I can lose weight if I net less than 1000 calories a day even though my levels are normal. I lost the first 30 lbs this way. When my hair started falling out even worse I knew I couldn't continue to do that. For the past several months, I have tried everything from eating more to eating more/exercising more to eating…
  • Before I got my HRM, I logged it as Low Impact and it was close (but a little higher) than what my HRM shows now.
  • That's true. I seem to be in the minority so maybe I should ask my doctor (when I find a new one)! I do love Leslie and think she's great, but I just don't register enough burn to use her all of the time. I'm going to keep suggesting an updated 4 Fast Miles. Maybe eventually they'll listen. LOL
  • Wow, something must be wrong with me. I've been doing them off and on for close to 15 years and my heart rate barely gets into the zone (over 116) unless I'm jogging so I add in boosted bits here and there. At first I thought there was something wrong with the HRM but I don't have that problem with Jessica Smith and I…
  • They are great for beginners or times when you need an easy day, but want to get in a workout. Unfortunately, they aren't that great a calorie burner for me. I've been testing the workouts for months with my HRM and at 150 lbs, the 45 minute workouts are 250 or less and the hour come in around 300-ish. That's for the…
  • Just skimming looked like a great source of info.
  • I weigh mine before cooking as the weight is much less after cooking. For instance, my hubby loves these frozen battered green beans and I have to weigh my portion ahead of time OR divide the cooked weight by the number of servings because the cooked weight is 1/3 less. If I measure after, I'm going to have much more than…
  • All of that is true, but it's not an excuse. It's a reason to buckle down and work harder than ever to get healthy, especially if you want children someday. I would suggest joining the PCOS groups here and searching the wealth of information to start you on that journey. You can lose the weight but it takes dedication and…
