  • Hey, hon... I've been going since January and I've lost less than you and I didn't JUST have a baby, my last was almost 9 years ago. Also, you've had a baby six months ago, don't be hard on yourself. Plus are you breast feeding? Breast feeding can help in shrinking the uterus, but I don't know about the weight loss.…

  • I too fight with sugar addiction. I have a serious sweet tooth. You can try to find sweets that are better for you, like cruise the diet aisle at the grocery store. They have slimfast bars and atkins bars and some candies. Just watch the calories. I wouldn't worry too much about going over your sugar intake right now, wait…
  • Yeah, I wouldn't see anything wrong with going twice a day. I mean it's a total of a hour and half of work out time. Probably a good way to miss the whole gym crowd by going around the popular times.
  • You look great. What's awesome is that you also appear younger, more youthful. Great job.
  • I like Excedrin back and body. :-) arnica natural pain rub. Stretching helps. Ice and heating pads help.
  • Been here awhile, trying to get over the difficult part. :-)
  • I don't think your brothers suffer from self-confidence so much as it sounds like they have an over-inflated ego or egomaniac. Or even perhaps a Godlike complex!! They think (merely in their heads) that they are the gods gift to everything under the sun. This is the impression that Tony Robbins has always given me when I…
  • I always think of the looking good part as the bonus round. I've had some weight loss before and I was high on pride and confidence and yes suddenly the fitting room didn't seem so daunting as it is now. I won't ever be able to do the bikini because of three c-sections, but the skinnier jeans are just a nice bonus to the…
  • I understand, though my very skinny (never had an ounce of fat on her body) navy sister is a bit more supportive than your brother. Though when she comes to town to visit I may sing a different story because she's currently in nursing school and plans to do a work up on our parents and myself and I'm sure she'll tell me…
  • Hi, MissDwood, I can relate to your situation somewhat. I was never very athletic but I was fairly thin for my teen years. I gained my weight after getting married and having children. Though really my weight gain wasn't that bad at that time, not until I got divorced and I quit smoking. Suddenly the scales just kept…
  • Love the name, I have the same!!! Welcome to the club. We totally encourage here.
  • I put her on it just to see and there is the option to gain a pound per week. She requires more calories than I do. 1,800+ per day.
  • FYI: I don't harp on my daughter about her weight. I only ask because it bugs her and her aunt worries about her...
  • She does want to gain weight. She's gotten a bit sensitive about it because she's so tiny her friends tell her that she looks like she's ten instead of 13. She's only a few inches shy of 5 feet tall and she weighs only 70 lbs. Her younger sister is quite a bit more heavier and has begun puberty. Even though I tell my…
  • I want a favorite button so I can mark my favorite threads. This would would go at the top of the list. Loooove new recipes.
  • ha ha!!!
  • I'm currently single so I wouldn't know... though I did kind of bust up a relationship so I could concentrate on my weight loss more, though there were other factors as well. Once up on a time I did lose a lot of weight (unfortunately put it back on) and when I step on the scales this one day I couldn't believe it. I was…
  • I usually defrost in the microwave. 5 minutes on anywhere from 30 to 50% power. Also ziploc is making some great steam bags, you can cook from frozen. You just throw the chicken breasts and in some spices and throw in microwave for like 8 minutes.
  • You make me want to keep going. I love the pics.... very inspirational. Thank you.
  • I'm glad I searched for this post. I recently too bought a recumbent bike. A "Golds Gym" bike from Wal-mart. I fell in love with these at the gym, because they didn't put a whole lot of stress on my joints (ankels, and knees are my problems). I finally broke down and bought one for the house. I do love it. It's fully…
  • I understand. My mother is diabetic too. Each time I go into the doctors for any ailment they always ask if I've been tested for diabetes. My father has a heart condition. I don't want to become my parents. My mother keeps telling me that I'm on the path to her diabetes.
  • My ex-husband used to try to pickle his own cucumbers and he'd stink up the fridge, baking soda worked the best to get the smell out.
  • Cool. Okay I'll give it a go.
  • Sugar can be bad if you're pre-diabetic. You might try substituting your sugar with stevia. It's a natural sweetener, There are no calories in Stevia and it's better for you than the other sweetener substitutes. There's a brand that I get from the grocery store which is stevia plus pure cane sugar. I put it in my coffee in…
  • So this would basically be a challenge to work out for a least an hour a day for four days, with some sort of cardio walking or the gym machines... I think I'd give it an attempt. I need a motivation to work out, whether it just be walking the dog or going to the gym. I wanted to take the kids hiking today, but I got…
  • Losing a fairly fun job last September and being unable to find a job and too bummed out to do much about it. Needing to go back to school, but unsure of what to do next. &&& Feeling that on the interviews I do get people judge me because of my weight. Sorry for the depressing let down.
  • I'm a reject from WW. I did their only thing for awhile and lost 29 pounds, but proceeded to gain it back. I felt that their online support, forums and such just wasn't very supportive. I lost quickly at first and then lost too much at least for my weekly allotment. When I searched for advice I got merely complaints, I…
