Marley and Me is definitely part of my top five along with The Descendants, Ordinary People, The Hours, and To Kill A Mockingbird...

It drives me crazy when people talk with their mouth full, chew with there mouth open and make noises while they eat or drink, and I never say anything to them about that cuz it would be rude...I just breath deeply and deal...For myself, I am hyper vigilant about not doing any of these things...I am forever wiping my…

Being diagnosed with diabetes exactly 300 days ago...also the day I started logging on to mfp...

Just bought Pillsbury sugar free brownie mix and put it with a can of pureed pumpkin...in the oven now...hmmmm....we shall see!

I do the low carb thing as well. I have to cuz I was diagnosed with diabetes in February...since then I have lost 66 lbs and my diagnosis has changed to pre-diabetic...works for me, so I will stick with it...

i have a few...: 1) Being offered seats cuz people thought I was expecting...this happened more than once... 2) Being propositioned by strangers who said they liked big women 3) Someone yelling "Fat Pig!" at me from their car 4) My Ex-Husband (stress the Ex) yelling at me for being overweight and saying that my being…

I agree! I've used freecycle and it's great! The only thing is, they really want people to pay it forward and donate in kind... Good luck!!

My Mom and Dad's deaths (6 months apart) also influenced me to start this journey to a lower weight and better health. At my age my Mom had double bypass surgery, had smoked since she was 13 years old, had insulin dependent diabetes, and 10 years later died at 57 years old...my Dad followed from a massive stroke at the age…

I go over as well, but I don't really sweat it. The number I pay most attention to is carbs. I make sure they are under 209 per day as per my Doctor's orders and everything else falls into place. Protein is great cuz it is the lowest in carbs, so it's better to be high in that rather than the carbs...good luck!!!

You look awesome!!

Yay! Good luck Nikki!!!

Awesome loss Ace!! Now onward and downward!!
-
I was off by 1.4 lbs...and I will take it...my total loss was around 25 or 30 lbs from the time I started...I'm not sure...
-
Sounds so yum...I hope you don't mind if I copied and pasted it...giving you full credit of course....and put it on my blog...

Mine have totally shrunk so far...not surprising though, cuz when I was at a healthy weight before I was pretty flat chested...only thing I liked about being heavier, but I'm not too sad to say bye bye!!
-
Ditto what he said...I agree. In my case, I've led a pretty sedentary life due to some personal illness, so the walking is extra cuz it's something I wasn't doing before I decided to lose weight. In your case I agree with the above quote. All the best to you and good luck!!

My beginning date is February 25th, 2011 and I have lost 47 lbs...around 2 lbs a week as per my doctor's instructions...

I agree! ALL of it is heartbreaking! The reason we are here on mfp is to get a hold of our own demons to one extent or another. My Mom never took care of herself...even with all of the family intervening...she had diabetes and heart disease partly due to her own addiction to food, a tendency to binge and purge and…

I am going through a similar struggle. I started at 362 lbs., am now 321 lbs. and still have 197 lbs. to go. If I think about the big goal it drives me crazy and becomes overwhelming...so, instead, I set mini goals and it seems more doable.

Extra Strong Coffee and lotsa water, lemon juice, lotsa raw vegies, vinegar, no white flour or sugar, whole grains...these things help me stay regular and keep things moving...Hope that helps!!
-
I also don't like ketchup!!! When I used to eat fries I always had them bare. For hamburgers I liked mustard (dark or dijon...not the yellow regular stuff! Yuck!) I don't like American Cheese either...like cheddar best! In terms of eating habits i am super particular about people who talk with their mouth full or chew…

Personally, my weight gain coincided first with trauma, and then with the loss of both my parents 6 months apart from one another. Basically, I used food as my way of dealing...I became addicted to it. It provided me with a shield to separate me from the world. I had been told by people in the acting world to lose weight,…

Awesome NSV!! I've experienced the same exact thing!!

Kinda scary how spot on that was...and extremely inspiring! Thanks so much for posting this!

With weight loss there go the boobs...they are always the first to go! They were the only only only thing I liked about gaining weight. But, hey, I would rather be at a healthy weight and flat chested any day. I've never had a desire to get breast implants. I've always been happy with what I've had in that department!

Just finished THE GIFTS OF IMPERFECTION by Brene Brown, and keep meaning to get back to THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO...saw the Swedish version and had to get the books...I want to read them before the American Version comes out...

Actress/visual Artist...on hold cuz I am rcovering from depression, which, by the way, is more under control than ever since I have been using MFP and losing weight, eating healthy, moving more...
