  • Google is pretty awesome! You can actually type in a question & it will help you find the answer! :) Here's what I found: Calories in Cherries Fresh - 3 cherries About 5 calories Calories in Apricots Fresh - 1 medium About 17 calories Calories in Grapefruit About 1/2 medium grapefruit - fresh About 35 calories Calories in…
  • Welcome Angie! It is absolutely awesome that you are true enough to yourself to know what will and will not work for you! In order for this to work & last, it must be a lifestyle CHANGE. Diets don't work because they are temporary. A couple pieces of advice: 1) Do NOT deprive yourself of your FAVORITE foods. try cutting…
  • Been there as well, done that & got the t-shirt. ;) Awareness goes a long way and information is power! Why did you fall off? Why did you roll down the hill? Why did you land in the parking lot? Etc... what was your trigger? These, of course, are rhetorical questions... You simply need to figure out what pushed you so you…
  • Their soup & salad is amazing... and unlimited... try the minestrone! Otherwise, you'd need to look into some of the pasta choices... but check calories first & be prepared to adjust your other meals & exercise accordingly. Enjoy!
  • I too would love some input on this!
  • I would classify it as dance, aerobic until Zumba is added to the database.
  • Here is a great post explaining the whole "eat your calories" theory... it is from a knowledgeable MFP member we call "Banks" http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-cal Best wishes! :)
  • I do measurements on: My neck My bust (across the "fullest" point) My hips (across the "fullest" point) My waist (across the smallest point) Good luck!

  • WOW! First of all, thanks DG & Juice for responding! UPDATE: I just went into my diary and looked at the printable report which I see tracks A LOT more! INSANE! On an average... I have been consuming 2500-3000 mg of sodium daily! I even have a few days that were upwards of 4000! Ugh! OMG! I'm gonna have a heart attack!…
  • You know, you look down & don't like what you see. You look in the mirror and don't like what you see. The cutest clothes, in any size, look horrible on. (My theory for the longest time was clothes only look good on the hanger) You bend over and there's stuff hanging. (And the "stuff" not considered an appendage.) All of…
  • You must be feeling wonderful! Great job ! And you look fabulous! Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!
  • Boy do I feel your pain! I have the best intentions as well but come morning I'm all snuggly comfy and that's all she wrote... before you know it, I'm out like a lite. A couple of suggestions that worked for me... 1) Put your alarm clock across the room where you must get out of bed to turn it off. 2) Make your bed right…
  • Welcome! That's what brought me here too.. our Warrior Dash is in June and I'm not even close to ready for it. A group of friends got together for weight loss and support and I jumped in to. We are currently do 30 in 30 which is 30 minutes of intentional movement everyday for 30 days. I figure every little bit helps. It…
  • Chicken is limited only by your imagination. To avoid dryness, cook slowly and remove from heat as soon as it is done. For flavor options, *My family's favorite is to marinate in Italian Dressing & grill. (do not add salt) *Also have marinated in Balsamic Vinegar or Red Wine Vinegar with a bit of olive oil *Baste with hot…
  • I buy tons of stuff there... mostly tops, dresses & jewelry. This is not department store quality, but it works. Great for having lots of options and cheaper prices. The sizes do run small on everything I have tried. See if there is a store within driving distance for you as trying in is almost imperative. Or be prepared…
  • I would say Lightly Active... because of your housework & parenting plus your exercise routine, you are definitely not Sedentary. Good luck!
  • You know I'm in Cat! Hugs! (Btw... great to see you last night!)
  • You have SOOOOOO much to be proud of! You're right... love to look at pictures! :) It's amazing what you cann see in pictures. I have my "{before} shots... not ready for my halfway yet.
  • Just remember who YOU are and do your best to not give anyone power of you... this may be kinda silly but heard this song on Glee the other night and I thought it very appropriate for all of those who look down their noses at us... even those close to us do it without even realizing it.…
  • I agree with you, If you bite it, write it. I try to count as close as I can.... For instance, if you are entering potato chips and the serving comes up as 10 but you only ate 5, change the serving to .5 or if you ate 6, .6. For bacon, if it says 1 serving of 2 slices and you only ate 1/2 of 1 slice, change the serving to…

  • I found the same thing PinkSneakers... I wasn't consuming even close to enough calories which I guess caused my body to store what I did consume.

Sharp, etc Green Olives (Great w/cheese) Sliced tomatoes with salt, pepper and a dab of light mayo Crystal Light Popsicles (delicious!) Just mind your portions!
  • I personally don't buy into a lot of the Tim Ferris hype... (read reviews on his books on Amazon for more info) He does, however, have great exercises including kettlebell... check out this link...' http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2011/01/08/kettlebell-swing/
  • As your comment was phrased as "I" as opposed to you,it was not rude at all. Not even a little bit. You're right... can't vs. won't is a lesson so many need to learn.
  • Please don't be discouraged! It sounds as if your medication is certainly not helping you with your weight loss goals but is clearly necessary for your health. We might be able to better help you if you could share a typical days food intake & activity levels. But my suggestion would be to start out making healthier…
