  • I'm 26 and at 5'4 my heaviest was about 180. Currently at 146, goal being about 135 [I'll reevaluate when I get there]. I wear an 7/8 in most brands. I'm pretty evenly distributed, a little busty, medium build I guess. It's been many years since I've been in the 130s, so I'm not sure how I'll look/feel when I get there.…
  • Hi! I can't say I've been there totally (my ex never admitted that my weight was a problem, but I imagine it was) but I do know the affect it had on me as far as [NOT] feeling sexy and beautiful. You have a great thing in that you know you love him, and he loves you and you're best friends. That's a great beginning! I'm…
  • I've been meaning to start this as well. If I can get out of work early enough today I'll be on week 1 day 1!
  • Depo caused me to gain weight like whoa, made me crazy emotional and completely killed all sex drive I had. Talk about effective birth control!! It did NOT do well with my hormones. Then it took 6 months to level back out after I stopped it. Switched to Lutera after that and haven't had any real problems, been on it about…
  • I started this journey at about 170 lbs. I'm now at 142.5, with my goal being 135. I plateaued at about 146-148 and hovered there for almost 2 months. I was eating about 1200 cal up until my plateau, and that worked great for those first 25 pounds. Then I guess my body started freaking out and yelling 'what are you doing!'…
  • If you've just increased your calories last week your body may still need some time to adjust. Give it another week or two at that calorie range. I'm no expert, but increasing helped me. It just took a couple of weeks for my body to catch up. And LOTS of water :)
  • ^^ THIS ^^ I lost 25 pounds rather easily eating around 1200 cals and working out 2 time a week, then plateaued for almost 2 months. In the last 3 weeks I've upped my calories to about 1500 and have lost 2 pounds in the last 1-2 weeks. And I feel better :)
  • Hi! I'm 5'4 and started this journey at about 170 lbs. I'm now at 144, with my goal being 135. I plateaued at about 146-148 and hovered there for almost 2 months. I was eating about 1200 cal up until my plateau, and that worked great for those first 25 pounds. Then I guess my body started freaking out and yelling 'what are…
  • Welcome! Stick with logging your food, it really does make a difference!! I have just started doing really well with drinking water, and I can definitely tell a difference in my weight loss. Since I've started drinking the eight glasses a day the loss has really picked up, and I"ve lost some bloat. I rarely drink plain…
  • Me too!!
  • Mini goals get a trip to the thrift store for cheap, new clothes. My main goal weight earns me a new tattoo :)
  • I'm so jealous! I'm working my way towards getting back on pointe. My ankles still need some work, my right is a little weaker than it should be. I dream of the day I can put those pointe shoes back on! To some it's torture, to me it was the most enjoyable thing I've ever done. I'm at my old studio too, that makes it so…

  • I've done ballet and jazz since I was about 3 (26 now). Ballet is great for toning and making your muscles long and lean. Jazz is a great lively work out. If you can find a local studio that offers adult classes they are usually more laid back, and often can get a better deal. My studio discounts adult classes b/c she…

  • Congratulations!! I quit smoking 2.5 years ago, and it is the best/hardest life change I have ever made. It is so worth it for the health reasons, your sense of smell and taste will improve drastically, lung capacity, and just feeling better over all. I did put on weight as most people do, but I wasn't active at the time.…

  • I eat Oatmeal every morning. Quick and low cal. The plain kind is 100 cal per pack, or the fruits and cream are 130. If I get hungry before lunch I'll have a banana or an apple.
  • I'm 5'4 and my goal weight is 135. Once I get there I will reevaluate :)
  • She may be naturally thin, but I'd wager that you are more fit (or well on the way, I see all the work outs you log!!) than she is and have more endurance. Some people worry about others too much. You enjoy your healthy food and weight loss!!
  • Cookies. They are my biggest weakness. I cannot eat just one. I will eat 10. or more. It's ridiculous. I try not to be around them
  • I'd like to join in! This will be my first year withOUT a SO. I'm ready to do it for ME!!
