  • I'm a member of a Pure Gym (Halifax) and really like it. It's easy going, there's plenty of equipment and there's always lots of staff who are more than happy to help if you need them. :-)
  • Hi, you're in the right place. MFP is great and everyone is so helpful! Feel free to add me, i'm Yorkshire too!! xx
  • Hi, feel free to add me if you like. I started my weight loss in February and lost 31lbs then when the school hols started in July I lost my way a bit as it wasn't so easy to exercise etc. I've put 7lbs back on so not all is lost but I'm now really struggling to get my head back around things but I really need to do this…
  • That's quite an achievement!! I've added it and his website to my favourites and will definitely use when i'm feeling a little rubbish!!
  • Bump! I'm on my phone at mo but will read & join when I get home tonight. Had a bad few weeks & this might be the boot I need! Xx
  • You're doing great hun. It is dis-heartening when you don't see the number going down every week but it'll happen!!! I'm just as bad with the water though - we need to kick each other up the a**e for that!! Keep smiling. xxx
  • I feel your pain with the shin splints. I'd love to be able to run but I can't! I've got 30DS but also try Hannah Waterman body blitz - I've found this the toughest but best results so far!! Good luck. xx
  • I have a microwave egg poacher!! Cheating I know but I love them & i'd never manage in a pan!! :-)
  • I want to run too!! I walk loads!! Try to do about 60-90 mins a time 5 or 6 times a week but at a nearly running pace pushing my 18 month old in a heavy pushchair! (Not during hols as my older child can't do the mileage or the speed!) I've been doing it since Feb/Mar and have lost 31lbs with that and the healthier eating.…
  • Toast with peanut butter or light philadelphia.....mmmm mmmmm
  • I struggle to drink water full stop! I put Robinsons No Added Sugar cordial in mine - just a splash. I'm sure some will say it's not water but it's as good as it's going to get with me i'm afraid and I really do struggle with it, even like this!! :-)
  • I suffered with severe back pain after having two children! (There is a history of back trouble in my family though so I probably will suffer!) I started my diet back in March and my back used to give me some real stick when I first started working out. I try to do 3-4 miles walking a day and other stuff inbetween - 30DS,…
  • Mine are glass top ones from Tesco & they were about £10. They were the cheapest ones they had and work great!! I've had them probably 3 years and have only just changed the battery. They also measure in stones/kg/lbs and have the decimal point!! x
  • We can hold each other accountable if you like hun?? It's my 30th on the 21st Nov - so about 17 weeks & I've 39lbs to lose to goal!! I reckon that to be about 2.2 per week??? Not going to beat myself up if I don't get it exact but i'd like to be somewhere close!! Please feel free to kick my a**e if you see my diary…
  • I love walking too!! Have you put a time limit on this or are you just keeping going until you've done it?? I try to do 3 - 4 miles a day at least 5 days a week. I'm up for the challenge!! Good luck!! :-)
  • Hey!! I started MFP at 217lbs. I didn't exercise at all for the first 6-8 weeks and lost about 12-15lbs from memory! I hit a plateau and decided to up my cals a little from 1200 to 1360 and I now exercise/walk 3-4 miles, 5 or 6 days a week. I also did a week of 30DS in between but got bored of it!! (It did work though, not…
  • I'm glad you don't let them get you down! That is an amazing loss, I bet it feels great. Well done you :-)
  • I gave up at page 3 too. Obviously some of the folks that have commented on the post have maybe forgotten why we are all here in the first place or where we were when we started!! Don't let them get you down I say!! :-) xx
  • Hi Lisa, You'll get loads of support on here. I'd be lost without everyone!! Feel free to add me if you like. I'm in Halifax, UK. xx
  • A few weeks back I got stuck at the same weight for about 4 weeks and went up one week. Got very annoyed and nearly gave up! I was on 1200 cals and eating some of my exercise cals. After trawling the forums on here and a little help from my friends on here I decided to up my cals from 1200 to 1360 and I eat back most of my…
  • Bump for later! School run beckons!!
  • I suffered with Post Natal Depression after the birth of my daughter in October 09 for which I was on medication. After being on this nearly 12 months I weaned myself off as I felt ready. I didn't feel completely better or right but I felt completely different to how I'd felt before the meds. Looking back now I put it down…
  • Don't know if it helps or not but i'm 5'5 1/2 and have just got into a Monsoon size 14 dress for my brothers wedding. Allbeit a little tight across the chest!! I've got 2 weeks to sort that out!! I currently weigh 13st 12. I guess it just goes on the person, everyone's different. xx
  • Just looked again & you have a ticker! Do you mean the bit I have under my comment with my start weight etc etc?? For this you go to signature (above) and just put whatever you want in the box. Hope that helps.

  • Hi! Do you mean the weight ticker bar that says what you've lost?? If you go to tools at the top, then ticker, you can choose a design and get one there. Good luck :-)

  • I was really sore when I did it but if you can push through that soreness for a couple of days it does disappear and is totally worth it. I didn't lose so much weight but I did definitely lose a few inches!! :-)
  • Please be impressed that you can do 10!!! I must have very weak arms as can't manage that many. I roped my hubby in for help as he's a gym bunny and I thought I must have been doing it wrong! Unfortunately i'm not - I just can't do it.......I dread to think what I look like trying :-) I'm hoping with time my arms will get…
