I have to agree with what myuk said, "fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins" I start my day with either a protein shake made from silk milk and fruit or a breakfast sandwich of egg white, turkey bacon and smart bread. I find a lean protein filled breakfast makes for a better day.

I like Carrots with zero cal ranch.

Anyone out there with a long journey like me ahead of them, feel free to add me. I enjoy seeing what others in my boat are doing.

while i haven't lost/regained, i have the confidence issue every time i walk in to the ymca. The looks of all the people judging me, at least in my head that's what they're doing. My solution is to say f' them. It's easy to get buff, it's a lot harder to shrink and become them so we're a step ahead.

East End YMCA, Madison Ohio It's less intimidating for a big guy like me, and something for my entire family to do together.

saw this on the news this morning. Whomever complained should come visit our local YMCA. 75% of the girls there wear super tight yoga pants and sports bras. The buff guys wonder around with ripped up t-shirts and everything out. Who cares...

That's just awful. There's no excuse for her actions and lack of action from your boyfriend especially. That said, the meanest thing I can think of lately is a little boy, maybe 8, proceeded to loudly whisper to his buddy that man boobies is getting in the pool, look that guy has man boobies. He obviously had no clue how…

yep live and learn. 1 off day a week isn't so bad.

Just made these and they came out great! One thing I'll throw out there is with Jif Peanut Butter ours came in at 333 calories and we didn't use the chocolate morsels. If you can find a lower cal pb, the nutrition will be much better. We came in at 333 Calories, 11 Protein, 20 Cholesterol, 550 Sodium, 17 Fat, 38 Carbs.

HI there, feel free to add me. I've been on here every day for 76 days straight now! I'm also very vocal on all my pals pages. However, I don't send females friend requests because you gals get enough weirdos stalking ya. Happily Married family man. Good Luck on your Quest!

also with the chain restaurants there's often variations in nutritional info by location because of different suppliers.

1500 calories a day is a big deficit to burn or not consume. Fingers crossed for you but I think your stuck with lean foods, water and lots of exercise. If you have access to a swimming pool, seems like you can burn more calories doing that (actual swimming laps mind you) than a lot of exercises.

pills are not the answer...

i find it amusing that they're making it sound like they never had breakfast, when i worked there in 97/98 we had full breakfast menu. I might try this thing but not going out of my way for it.

welcome tuna stamper! You're off to a great start! I also recommend checking out the 7min workout. It's 12 exercises for 30 seconds with a 10second break in between. It's good for working your core and stretching you out so that the rest of your body is growing along with your walks. I started with a 1 mile walk at a…

I'm so glad this topic came up, a question that's been burning in my brain since I recently joined a YMCA. I pretty much only use a treadmill and stationary bike so far. The posted rules say clean the machine when your done. Nobody does it for those machines and when I do everyone stairs at me like I'm a weirdo. Should I…
