  • I agree with what has already been said by other people. Also, typically the faster you lose it, the faster you're likely to gain it back. Take a step back & enjoy the journey. You're still losing a ton of weight. Also when you lose too fast you put yourself at risk for other things like hair loss, etc. Congrats on your…
  • Huh I was wondering why it tasted differently. Have you considered flavored seltzers or flavored water (it's not water though it tastes like soda and is delicious with few chemicals- usually a store brand would be key for that)? I've been trying to convert over to them and I'm finding it easier now since the Pepsi I used…
  • Feel free to add me! SW: 245 CW: 235.5 GW: 150
  • I have tons of ideas- however I don't drink shakes. If you need inspiration on low carb lunches and you're open to suggestion let me know!
  • Rethink how you're divying up your calories and make room for the treats you would like. Another method, not mentioned here, (some use and some don't) is to have 1 cheat meal per week. So be as good as you can and then treat yourself to one meal each week in which you eat whatever you want.
  • When I originally lost & gained weight (225lbs-202lbs) I remained a size 14... Sometimes weird stuff just happens! If you feel better, go with that! Also every clothing brand cuts their sizes totally different. So let's say you're an 11 at American Eagle- you might be an 8 in Old Navy. Shop around and see what you come up…
  • I'm weighing- I have an ozeri scale. just readjusted my calorie goals. Thanks everyone!
  • Wouldn't the "active minutes" function on the Fitbit be beneficial for something like that?

  • Start lifting or do some other kind of resistance based exercise to build muscle
  • Same. I also always buy lean meat so I don't have much to drain off but I log it and weigh it as I'm creating my plate of food so it's more accurate
  • Have you considered changing your diet? (Example: eating high carb and changing to high fat) Are you weighing and measuring everything accurately when you log? Is your calorie goal too high? Too low? I couldn't access your feed/diary so it's difficult to give decent advice here for me
  • I would invest in some kind of heart rate monitor for this. Or time yourself whenever you're walking and then add it all together for a small burn. The golf you're describing doesn't sound like a ton of physical effort though so it is a tricky question

  • I feel very self conscious of taking a scale with me, so I guess to the best of my ability. I also try to avoid chain restaurants bc the calorie counts are through the roof which brings an added challenge since the restaurants I go to generally aren't in the database. Just do the best you can. If you're out, another…
  • I tried to think about it like if my boyfriend were having this conversation with me and how I would want to be spoken to. It's honestly a tricky situation, but I did my best! What I meant by "don't care if she's overweight" had to do with looks, not health. I guess maybe making a suggestion if she becomes amenable would…
  • Feel free to friend me :) It doesn't matter how many times you start over because every time you get closer to your goal.. at least, that's what I tell myself.
  • Drink extra water & find things to do that don't involve eating. For me, it feels counterintuitive to go for a walk when I'm craving an XL Kit Kat, but you do what you gotta do. Something else that helps is continuously asking myself if the choices I'm making will get me closer to or further from my goal.
  • I save drinking wine for when I want to split a bottle with my boyfriend on date night :)

  • Start measuring yourself and get a body fat percentage reader. If the scale makes you depressed, then screw it and don't use it. You don't owe the scale ANYTHING.
  • I try very hard to get healthy and get others on board with me, including my boyfriend. It took 3 full years to get him to set foot in a gym with me. I understand how discouraging it could be when others either aren't on board with you, drag you down, make life more difficult or just refuse to make positive changes in…
  • I'm so happy you responded positively to everyone's responses on your last post!!! Couple of things - make sure your bra is fitting correctly because that may cause what you dislike. I agree with what other people said - eat more and lift heavy. Try seeing a trainer and see how they might help you build some muscle!

  • I will never forget the day I received a phone call (at 11 years old) from my grandmother informing me that 1. I should eat cheerios instead of pizza 2. My sister had back fat People will always give you unwanted advice because they all know better than you do (according to them). You've got a few choices: suck it up and…
  • Start perusing Pinterest - there are millions of recipes! I can't say it enough! I love making sausage & peppers (with turkey sausage), creamed kale (with cottage cheese), and some kind of carb on the side or a salad - if you need some ideas feel free to message or friend me! I'm more than happy to help
  • Do you use Pinterest? If not,you should start because there are literally millions of recipes on there. Find creative ways to cook your vegetables. My favorites include: Creamed Kale, Kale Chips, Carrot Chips, Zucchini Chips (notice the theme?), Sauteed Peppers and Onions, Sauteed Onions, Sauteed Shallots, Caprese Salad…
  • Your diary is empty and you're not eating enough... Try eating more - not sure how much you weigh, but try resetting your diary settings to recalibrate your calorie intake. Also are you working out 3-5x per day or per week? If it's per day, that may be excessive... per week seems okay though... It's hard to give too much…
  • Jemima J - Jane Greene Complete fiction, ugly duckling story and weight loss is a huge part of it
  • I was diagnosed as overweight when I was 6 years old. I was a VERY active kid but also loved to eat. I learned (probably from my parents) about turning to food as an emotional coping mechanism and my weight continued to climb following my parents divorce at 8-9 years old. Coupled with many, many hours of being home alone…
  • I don't think what you need is to lose WEIGHT per say.... I think some of the unhappiness with your body could be due to the fact that you are strictly doing cardio. When you do weights, the muscle you build will be leaner than the fat, although denser. So, the number on the scale may go up, but you will end up looking…
