I'm twenty and live on a budget (both money and time) but I LOVE to cook. I haven't done much lately, but I do have some very creative recipes that really incorporate veggies. I usually make them public as well. Friend me if you want some creative ideas like eggplant manicotti noodles! Oh, and I'm Italian so I hope you…

This really struck a chord with me. A therapist recently told me that I have a food problem. Not a body image disorder, a food-shaming disorder. I grew up eating in private when my family went to sleep because my parents openly judged me about my choices (even when my mom made the food). Now that I live on my own, I still…

I like greek salads. Adding quinoa sounds great!

Quinoa chicken parm sounds awesome! Unfortunately there's not Costco in my area. :(

Can somebody describe to me how I would cook spaghetti squash to be pasta-like. I've never made it before.

Up in New England we call Seafood Stew a chowdah! Sounds yummy!

Adding chicken, nuts, or dried berries can totally amp up a salad. Bolthouse Farms makes really filling thick dressings with greek yogurt so that they're low-cal and high-protein. Tuna salad can be good too. As an Italian, I love to add pepperoncini to my salad or on the side.

Apple Crisp!! Apples, teeny bit of brown sugar (or sugar substitute depending on your preferences) and some granola instead of oats if you like it crunchy. It's really great in oatmeal for a little crunch! Roll your own granola bars!! I know you said other than yogurt, but have you tried it in FROZEN yogurt? If it's plain…

Thank you for the advice and encouragement everybody. I've increased my calorie goal to 1300 and I'm going to try harder to stay there. I'm also going to do a better job of tracking my water intake. I'm trying to avoid processed foods, but I'll start cooking in bulk and saving meals. Thank you again for all the help!!

Oh, man. That sounds delicious. THANKS for all the suggestions guys!! I think I have an idea of what I'm going to do!

Eggplant is a diet staple of mine, but I don't know what Chinese eggplant is... Is that another name for graphiti eggplant?

... I honestly don't know what chorizo is... To the Google!

I've been considering an IUD for that reason, but I know that both of my aunts have had trouble with them so I'm hesitant. That makes sense to me. I was on my birth control for 3.5 years but didn't start my weight loss for about a year, so I see what you mean. That makes me feel a bit better.

I reward myself a little everyday. If I stay under my calorie goal I indulge my sweet tooth (today, I had a mini-cupcake and it was DELICIOUS). If I step on the scale (I only weigh once a week or every few days so as not to get discouraged by tiny weight shifts) and see that I've lost a pound or two I'll spend a little…

When I first read it I thought it was insensitive of the husband, a little rude even. But then I realized that it's just supportive. He's supporting her by pushing her and I think that's sweet. I wish my SO would support me rather than try to push cheese and chocolate on me.

Look at your legs!! You go girl!

EGGPLANT PIZZA!! Slice the eggplant into big circles, bake at 350F for about 5-8 minutes, flip and bake for an additional 3-4 minutes. Then take the eggplant out of the oven and add your favorite pizza sauce (I like Amato's marinara sauce!) and some part-skim mozzarella, and bake for an addition 3-5 minutes or until cheese…

That was great. I'm totally a Justifier. I'll run just an extra three minutes so I can have a cookie or something.

5'2" Current: 180 Lowest: 155 Goal: 130 I could use some friends with a similar goal!

Garlic powder. I'm usually too lazy to chop garlic. It goes on everything: roasted veggies, pasta, anything with tomatoes!

Thank you so much everybody for the great ideas! I think I have dinner all figured out!

I do have plenty of cayenne pepper! I love a little spice!

I don't have a microwave (teeny apartment) would an oven be better than the stove?

I'm an over-eater in recovery. Here are my two fixes: -Start meals with a vegetable. Eat a filling veggie before anything else. You can eat as much carrots and celery as you like! Then you won't eat as much of the less healthy parts of your meal. -When I was a teenager trying to prevent over-eating, I ate a lot of…

I had my gallbladder removed last year. Because of my school schedule I had to wait three painful months. I don't know of any websites or recipes (I tried sticking to a pretty bland vegetarian diet) but I will say that potatoes are pretty safe. I would avoid dairy and citrus fruits. The acidity in fruit makes it worse. I…

I do a lot of dancing at home (especially while doing chores). I'll look into some at-home videos! Thanks for all the suggestions!

I'm 5'2"! When I was 18 I weighed 205 pounds. When I turned 19 I weighed 155 pounds (though my ultimate goal was 130, I never made it)! After getting comfortable with my darling boyfriend I've rocketed back up to 175. But I'm confident I can finally reach my goal! He put on some pounds as well so we're doing it together!
