Need ideas for office valentines day treats
I'd like to bring something at least semi-healthy on Friday for a treat to my office valentines day party, because I'm sure everything else there will be loaded with sugar. First keep in mind its a daycare actually not an office, and it needs to be peanut free even though its for the teachers not the kids. I don't have a problem indulging a bit over the weekend, but I know I'm already baking treats at home for my family so I'd like to save up a few calories for that! I need ideas for something that I don't have to worry about warming up or keeping cool, that can be left there all day.

How about chocolate covered pretzels. One pound chocolate,mini pretzels melt chocolate dip pretzels using a fork. Lay on waxed paper or foil. Put in freezer for five minutes or so to harden. Makes quite a few. Not really healthy but not real sugary. You also could sprinkle red mini hearts or sugar before putting in the freezer.0

Chocolate covered strawberries are easy to make and perfect for valentines day! You can make them with some dark chocolate too to keep the sugar down and get those awesome antioxidants from chocolate.

Being a chocoholic myself - and I like simple as well this has to feature in:
* Choc dipped strawberries (preferably dark)
* Berries and well some kind of dairy - maybe whipped cream but Ice Cream perhaps

I like the chocolate covered strawberries idea--would they be ok if left out for a few hours? The chocolate wouldn't get sticky, or the strawberries wouldn't dry out? There is no easy access to a frig during the day to keep them cool. Some kind of fruit dessert recipe sounds like a good healthy option.0

You could do a cake batter dip, they have the recipe all over pinterest. You can do a sugar free dip, add sprinkles on top and use reduced fat vanilla wafers! It's delicious!0

Real chocolate melts at body temperature. They will sweat some, if they have been in the fridge, but they should be okay. Everyone goes crazy for them. You might just dip the strawberries and then have plain grapes and some light crackers, like those "pops" ones, on the side to be more plentiful since the berries can be expensive.0

Check out chocolatecoveredkatie.com. The black bean brownies are wonderful. I fed them to my mom, who snarls at the word "healthy," and she loved them. But I have yet to try a recipe from this blog that didn't exceed my expectations, and there's tons to choose from.0

Everything looks festive if it's in mini-muffin form - plus it keeps portions in check! Make tiny quick-bread muffins and add some kind of red fruit - like frozen raspberries or chopped strawberries. Or fruit skewers with a thin drizzle of chocolate over them. Or you could bring in a beverage - like raspberry ice tea, or something like that, which will be a nice alternative to soda or punch.0
