  • Awesome!! That is some incredible weight loss!! Way to go!
  • I thought we weren't supposed to hit plateaus!! ERRRRRR
  • I'm feeling you!! I'm tired of it being such a challenge!! Why does it seem like the weight goes on so easily with just small bad decisions, but big good decisions don't make the weight drop so easily??? Tired. I'm just tired!! I sincerely won't give up on it because I can't keep getting bigger and bigger. I have to…
  • WElcome!!!
  • Isn't that interesting????!!! I have not budged at all. It is coming close to time to order my dress and I was really hoping that I'd be down another size by now. :( I keep thinking about the big picture - I'm doing something healthy. This is for the long haul, for my overall health. But still it would be nice to lose some…
  • How are you feeling??? Are you over the bug?
  • At least you only lost a week!!! Thats great!! Iost four weeks! Thankfully I didn't gain any weight - I still ate well, but no weight loss. Back to it this week! Its hard to get in the groove!! I am totally recovered though now and looking forward to gaining back some ground!!
  • I am not a competitor. The only one I compete against is me!! I can't put any extra pressure on me than I already do. I think I am finally recovered from my virus and the rebound experience. I worked out again yesterday, first time since the rebound, second time since the first onset. It felt awesome!! I'm two weeks behind…
  • I slept almost 11 hours!!! Unheard of!! I know I've been fighting the rebound. Best tip I ever got was to suck on/chew a clove of garlic!! Its harsh but I felt better almost immediately!
  • UGH!! Rebound on the virus!! Starting with the same symptoms again yesterday. I am hoping that it doesn't come on full blown like a few weeks ago. But there goes another week of working out!! :(
  • I DID IT!! I worked out AND I avoided the devil ice cream!!! Now I am going to reward myself with a nice hot bath...
  • Today is a bit of a challenge!!! Turns out I am not on week 12, actually back to 1! I don't want to work out and I'm craving a huge bowl of ice cream!!! Oh the evils!! lol
  • I am finally feeling back to my self and strong enough to get back to working out tomorrow. Looking forward to it, in fact so I know that I am better. Oddly enough it is week 12 for me. I feel like I should just start at week 1 since I plan to do it again anyway. But I will start at week 12 and week 7 of workout. Then I…
  • I can't do 1000 calories either. 1000-1200 works much better for me, though I am only slowly losing. Even though I work out. Everyone's bodies are different. I don't have 100 pounds to lose, but I have about 75 to lose.
  • Thats awesome!!! If your muscle mass is high for your age, then I'd say that is likely what was going on all this time, don't you think?
  • On another note, I really think my hormones are at play. A month ago I had that really bad week where I put on 4 pounds of water. Many of you thought it might be 'that time of the month' and because I had a hysterectomy I couldn't really say. I am also of the age where menopause would be starting to kick in, if I hadn't…
  • Ok so tell me about these scans you are getting!!! Where are you getting them and how much do they cost?
  • Yay you for getting back on track. I was re-reading the manual and something John wrote in that hit me the second go round. It isn't how often you are doing perfectly but what you do when you have been imperfect that matters most!!! That is so true!!! Sometimes I'm good a planning and I just make scheduled events my…
  • I still am battling my virus bug, so I have not worked out in a couple of weeks. Been doing well on keeping track of calories though and trying just to rest as much as possible. As soon as I do too much then I start to feel like I'm relapsing. I figure it is best to then stay away from the work outs. Sometimes you have to…
  • That is curious that you haven't lost any poundage...I have seen pics on here, where major transformations took place in 12 weeks with only a 5 pound weight loss. Perhaps you are one that trades fat pound for muscle pound?????
  • YAYA!!!!! I DID it!!! My FIRST goal was to break 190 and this morning I was 189!!!!! YAY!! Now I know I am in the groove!! Before this I was telling myself I couldn't be sure I was making progress and not just having a lot of water weight loss or something! I have mini goals of 10 pounds so my next trick is to break 180!!…
  • Welcome aboard!!! I'm 49 and determined to be one of those success stories as well! I didn't do before pics. I don't regret that. I just want to have good after pics!!! lol Preferably before my wedding!! How awesome would THAT be?? Add me as a friend if you like!! I do much better with people who are regularly around to…
  • Awesome!! I've been sick with a very strange bug and quite disoriented!! Plus side is that my appetite has been low so I've hit way below my usual calories. Looking forward to getting back into a rhythm this week and weighing in on Wed and measuring. I have to laugh...my favorite pair of sweatpants are falling off. Granted…
  • This week is a total was for me. It started out on Monday finding out that my assistant and friend died on Sunday. The day of the memorial I started feeling ill. Thursday I was flat on my back with one of the worst viruses I've ever had. It has had sinus pain and congestion, massive headache, body aches, kidney ache,…
  • I'm not sure the workout will work the same if broken up. Is it time or endurance that has made you decide to break it up? If it is time I would definitely change that. If it is endurance then do what you can do. I for one, can only do two of the three cycles and not all of the exercises. Due to certain injuries I have…
  • Interesting - emotionally eating - I was thinking about this today. I made a sinful dessert (chocolate lasagna) for Easter. There are a few pieces left in the fridge. Monday, I was given the news that my assistant - my friend - died unexpectedly. I was devastated. I had already planned earlier that morning to have a smidge…
  • Welcome!! I find less hunger with more protein. So if you are going to go lower on something don't make it protein.
  • I eat between 1000 and 1200 on my low days. Usually around 1200. My higher days (maintenance) is 1680. I do just fine on that. The loss is slow but steady for the most part with some crazy things happening in between!! Don't forget the high days (eat up) they are important to keep your metabolism on its toes!!
  • I had a crazy weird week!!! First I had a fibro flare -which I haven't had since i started the program. I think I brought it on by increasing my workout from the modification of 2 reps to 3 and working out an extra day. So I decided to take off the week from working out. That was ok, but then I had one day when I was SO…
  • How'd it go??
