Regarding addiction, I'd like to point out that there is both psychological, and physiological aspects to it. The psychological aspect can affect people physically. Also, anything can be addicting in a psychological way. This seems to be purely psychological but in a way that affects a person physically. Alcohol, and drugs…

I can understand being worried about losing your streak. It's fun to have those. Maybe do 2-3 days of lighter exercise? Try doing 1km for 2-3 days a week?
-
If you're hungry, you may want to rethink this. What's your calorie limit?
-
For your health, yes you should eat healthy. But eating healthy doesn't mean you can't have some pizza. You just need to make sure it's SOME pizza, not all the pizza. Learn to have just a slice. You can make your own burgers with lean meat, or you can just have a fast food burger if it fits your calories. It's all about…

Try to lose weight sensibly. 3lbs a week isn't going to work. Other than that, stick in a corset back. My wedding dress was the wrong size (even though we ordered the right size) but we got it altered, put in a corset back, and it was great. Adding additional fabric or a corset back isn't bad if you get it done properly.

A couple of questions: 1) What is your cultural background? 2) What is your ideal weight/BMI? Personally, if you want to lose weight to be happier with your size, I don't see that as an issue. How many people on here want to lose weight so they can fit into non-plus sized clothes? So they look sexy or whatever? They aren't…

I don't have a packaged freezer meal suggestion, but can you boil eggs? I am disabled, and have trouble cooking as well, but boiled eggs are usually alright for me. The only problem I sometimes run into is filling the pot with water but I use a small glass, and several trips if that's an issue.

1) Not eating when bored. 2) Medication-induced eating.

I always assume it's *kitten*.

I haven't read all of the comments but I don't think it's really comparable. In order to actually know, all the other factors in their lives would have to be the same. They would need to have the same blood work, the same genetics, the same environmental factors, etc. This isn't really controllable so you can't have an…

Health. I'm losing weight to better my health, and I exercise/am more active to increase my fitness, and better my health. They go hand in hand, in my opinion.

I beg to differ. My original calorie goal on MFP was 2,300 calories. When I started eating at or below that, I wasn't hungry. I still had food I enjoyed, just smaller amounts, and it wasn't an issue for me. Nor has it derailed me. While it might not be possible for some, to say "there is absolutely NO WAY" to "not be…

You need to learn what works for you but you need to remember it must be sustainable. Maybe just focus on being comfortable with smaller portions for now without bothering to count calories or anything? Learn to incorporate both 'light calorie' food with whatever food you like so you can have your "junk food" while feeling…

Burning 500 calories on a 1,600 calorie plan would mean you're at 1,100 calories a day. 1,200 is the lowest safe amount. Most people tend to eat back about half their exercise calories. You can eat back all if you like but that might inadvertently put you over 1,600 calories as calorie output through exercise and the like…

Double post, sorry.
-
Yeah, I think it's a little broken. I just set it to gaining 1lb a week, and it's still 2,300 calories. Back to losing 2lbs, and still 2,300. Thank you! I'll use that as mine as well.

About 100lbs. I'm not quite sure what I want my goal weight to be. I've lost 7lbs so far but I've been doing 0.5lbs a week.

Candy coated nuts (toffee peanuts, pecan pralines, etc.)

I am sorry for your loss, and I am glad you are making plans to see a therapist. That's definitely a positive step since your mental health is equally important. I can empathise with you. My health is poor, and my partner wants me to be healthier so that we can have a good, long life together. I've known this for at least…

I too am very curious about why it's bad for diabetics. I am insulin dependent type-2, and my doctor is perfectly fine with me eating as many eggs as I want as long as it fits within my calories. OP: I eat 1-2 eggs a day. That's not including any eggs added to the other food I eat (like prepackaged breakfast sandwiches).…

If you want to add exercise to help with increasing your caloric output, you could try swimming or slow walking. Any sort of movement helps.

Well, if it's +/- 20%, then that's easy? I can just assume it's 20% over. If it's 20% under at times, that would just mean a bigger deficit every now and then which isn't a bad thing. Weighing everything is not an option for me, that's why I'm looking for something that would give me an idea of how much I should…
-
As I said, I won't weigh everything. That's why I am looking at how far off the weight tends to be. This way, I can compensate by adding X% more grams/calories.

It smacks of manipulation to me. Not all of it, but things like you mentioned, hiding, removing choice, and making it such that he'll be hungry for dinner. Personally, I'd find it very disrespectful if my partner did that to me without discussing it with me first. Also, there is a significant difference in taste between…

I'm sorry that happened to you. People can be such *kitten*. Make small changes. If you order a large meal, make it a medium or a small. If you have seconds, stop or halve your seconds for now. Move to no seconds later. Make the portions you eat smaller; maybe start with 3/4 less, than move down to 1/2 less. And if you…

I would go with what MFP tells you. But a couple of questions: - How tall are you? - How much do you want to lose per week?

I'd like to join!

During exercise, I break down how much longer I have to go. "It's been 10 minutes? You're a quarter of the way there!"

I walk for 40 minutes, 5 times a week. My pace ranges from slow to moderate (2.8mph based on my phone app).

I cannot cook at the moment, so I eat frozen meals or the like quite often. Right now I'm trying microwaveable rice; throw in some frozen vegetables, and it's a fairly good meal. I'm not very concerned about the sodium since my blood work is fine, no high blood pressure, etc. and I might need more sodium. If you don't have…
