  • I've gained 1 lbs! Which is awesome despite eating way too much! I did work out christmas eve though, so that helped!
  • I have lost an Irish Setter. Almost a Gold Brick. I have lost the equivilant of my 10 year old son, who is 72lbs. I think of that and cannot believe that I was walking around carrying weight that was equivilant to him all day. WOW!
  • Just found this page, I got my braces on 3 days ago. I haven't eaten much of anything. Any advice on low calorie snacks. The only things I can seem to think of are ice cream, and mashed potatoes. Those are too high in calories. My teeth are a little sore, but my cheeks are way worse. I don't eat much, even when I can…
  • If you work out at home, I suggest leslie sansone's walk at home dvd's. My favorite is the 5 mile walk. Good luck!
  • Mine was a combination, I didn't learn to eat healthy as a child because I had such a high matabolism, I could eat anything. Going hungry as a child, caused me to later in life reward myself with food. Getting pregnant (listening to people tell me that I had to eat more and I couldn't exercise). Not eating good or…
  • I married my husband when I was 18, he is 13 years older than me. We have been married now for 11 years and have 4 beautiful children. I wouldn't have it any other way!
  • Doesn't matter, I wouldn't have listened anyway........lol
  • I was one of those people who also said I would never tattoo my spouses name on me, but I did change my mind. My husband and I have been married for 11 years now, we have 4 kids. We have been through thick and thin and I know without a shadow of a doubt that he will always be there for me. If you have a relationship like…
  • 37 miles out of 75 so far! Way behind, but I'm going to try and push it out this last week, and see how close I can get! 38 miles to go, 8 days left. If I can do 5 miles a day, I'll get it all in!
  • I'm joining in on this challenge. I graduate May 8th, so this is a perfect challenge for me! I'm going to do the 75 miles. 11 miles so far. 64 miles to go!
  • Goal: 150 miles Done: 80 miles Left: 70 miles We can do it!
  • I would love to join..... My goal is 150 miles. I will calculate how many I've already done then post what I have left to do. I usually do a minimum of 4 miles a day, so that is why I set my goal at 150. That would average 5 miles a day to give me a little more of a challenge! I love Leslie!
  • I do the leslie videos. I change them up and do different variations. I started with just 3 miles. I've done up to 9 miles in one day. Some days I do the interval training, some I do with the strength training, and some just regular. I'm trying to make sure my body doesn't adapt, but we'll see. I down almost 60 lbs. I've…
  • Hi, I have little one's too. I have 4 all together. 9, 7, 5, and 1. I am currently finally back to my pre-9 year old baby weight, but I was overweight then too. I have 50 more lbs to lose to get to my goal weight of 150. You can add me if you want. :)
  • I actually had a similar problem when I first started working out and joined a gym. I joined mfp and after a month I had only lost 5 lbs. The best info I got was to lose weight you need to do cardio 5-6 days a week, to maintian you need to work out 3-4 days a week. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but once I started doing…
  • I quit cold turkey last year. I was really addicted to soda. It's pretty much all I drank. I actually quit drinking everything except water. The longer you go without it the less you want it. When I did finally drink some, I didn't really even want it. Now if I feel myself really wanting a soda, I find just a sip or two is…

  • I was in a similar sitation, except I am 29 and have 4 kids. I joined a gym, but couldn't really afford it and didn't have the time with everything I have to do with my kids. I started doing the crunch videos on netflix, pilates, and yoga. My knees started giving me a lot of pain, and I was getting kind of bored, so I uped…
  • I want to join!! HW- 269 SW-249 CW-199 Goal for February is to lose 10 lbs, that gets me to 189! Hips- 48 in. Chest- 42 1/2 in.
  • I loved my trainer. My husband and I worked with her for several months, but just couldn't afford it. I am also a very private person and going to the gym for me was really a struggle. I also have 4 kids, and with school and work it was really hard to fit it all in. I really do think it's a personal preferance. I really…
  • My personal trainer also said not to eat back my calories. I have heard other stories where people eat back their calories once they hit a platue to get them through it, but I haven't actually done that myself. I have lost almost 40 lbs, and I don't usually eat back my calories. I do eat after my workout, but it usually…
  • Hi, I have a big family only 6 though. I also have been transitioning them into healthier eating, i've changed things gradually over the past year or so. I cut out all types of drinks, they drink almost nothing but water. I will occasionally buy some orange juice or a soda on a special occasion. Oh, and they drink milk.…
  • The kindgom of God is inside you and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there, lift a stone, and you will find me. -Stigmata Boggs: Now, I'm gonna open my fly and you're gonna swallow what I give ya to swallow. And after you swallow mine you're gonna swallow Rooster's cause ya…

  • I have Netflix, and I do a lot of the crunch dance videos. I really like Jennifer. I am a beginner, and can't dance at all. It was a little hard to get the moves down the very first time, but after the second or third I had it. I love doing them now, I do them everyday. Good luck! They also have Yoga, Pilates, and bootcamp…
  • Has it ever occured to you that not everyone gains weight because of poor nutrition? I gained my weight becuase of 4 pregnancies that ended in c-section. I did research and learned all about nutrition. Stopped drinking sodas, sugar, fatting foods, exercising regularly. I have been overweight now for 10 years. I started…
  • Chocolate is mine too! I try my best to keep it out of the house, but the kids got stocking full of candy for Christmas (from grandma), with all of my favorites.....ahhhhhh. Trying my best to stay away, but it's not going so well.....
  • I'm on them now. I haven't been on them my whole weight loss journey. I have only been on them for a month and a half now. I get really frustrated with people who are like, you shouldn't take pills, just eat right and exercise blah blah blah.... I know all of this and I've been struggling for 10 years and through 4…
