I am not a moderator, but an abstainer, so when I need to kill the sugar addiction, I have to stop eating sugar cold turkey. I literally cannot eat any at all. Good luck!

Definitely start working on a base and don't miss training runs when it's time, esp the long runs! They are so important. I trained for my first marathon during my wedding planning and missed quite a few runs. in the end, I was not very prepared, and had a pretty horrible time. have fun! running is so addicting!

I will send you a request! I am going to be 30 in a few months. I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm trying to get back into running and lose these last 10 lbs which feel like they will NEVER fall off!

Good morning! Not sure if I can still post here, but I've decided to start with 16:8 for awhile to get my body back in the swing of things. I woke UP hungry this morning and decided I better eat around noon since I'm not used to doing this! Hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks! I think I'm going to start back by doing 1 fast this week and seeing how it goes. I used to do Monday and Thursday, and would like to keep it that way since I normally do not do anything on these days. Think i'll give it a shot. It'll just be hard to not have my morning coffee :(

Thank you!!! I did do 5:2 for awhile and I really liked it. I always lost consistently, but I worried that it was causing more issues, so I stopped. Now I realize how it was pretty easy to do.

hello again!!!! I've been gone for some time, but I'm thinking about doing 5:2 again! I enjoyed talking to everyone here so much! Going on vacation in April, and I'd love to lose these last 15ish lbs! I know that I probably won't lose it all by then, but I consistently lost when I IFed, so I'm probably going to start again!

I've been thinking about start again too, I just can't bring myself to do it. I feel like it'll screw my thyroid issues.

My hair loss INCREASED ten fold when I went on Synthroid. My doc says it's from low iron/vitamin D and having hashi's, but I'm telling you, it's medicine related. It was not like this before I started. I'm thinking about switching to Tirosint.

3 lbs to go! Awesome! I am on day4 of whole30. No fasting, or weighing. Just clean eating. I really like everyone where so I hope I'm not overstepping by still keeping up with everyone!

@flumi_f have you lived there your whole life? I have always wanted to visit Germany. I took several years of it in school, and almost got to on an exchange program in high school, but then 9/11 happened and we weren't allowed on planes.

Morning! Fast day #1 here. Doing okay. Had a crappy weekend foodwise, but I did track everything, which I never do! I am doing a whole30 starting on Friday. Morning! Lost 1.4 this week. Thank GOODNESS! now I'm only 0.4 above my lowest this year. I need to stay on top of calorie counting this weekend. This is when I usually REEALLY fail.

I just found out about my issues is Feb. So I have no idea if I'm properly medicated yet. I don't feel any better than I did when I started the meds. I know that much!

I have Hypo/Hashimoto's so I know the struggle. Everyone else loses so much and I only register tiny losses every week. Now, I'm stuck and can't lose at all. It's a bummer having thyroid issues.
