I haven't rode in about 4 years. Losing weight and being able to take my boy out on the trail again is a big motivator.

Planks, Pilates, ball exercises. http://www.ball-exercises.com/exercises/abs/index.html The jacknife is a killer. IMO anyway.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll stick with the layout of the program. It's good to know I wasn't the only one that has fallen off the ball LOL!

When I get sore I feel like I actually accomplished something and my body is changing. Eventually the soreness will decrease and I push on to something more challenging. Do not forget to stretch after your workouts; it can make a world of difference.

I would get rid of him as fast as I could. If he truly loved you, he would love everything about you, weight and all.

It really isn't all that simple. If it were, there wouldn't be so many overweight/obese people.

If you're on antidepressants or similar medications they can sometimes cause accidents.

I've thought about it a lot. On one hand it's a "quick fix" but you usually have to lose some weight to begin with before being allowed to have the surgery so why not just continue to lose weight on your own. Of the people I know that have had some sort of surgery they have all had problems to some degree or another. One…

CW: 271 GW: 240 I would also like to be able to run 5 miles at a time at the end of this time frame as well.

As a tip to those of you that are really sore, do additional stretching at the end of the workout. I really benefited from the extra stretching and wasn't nearly as sore as what I could have been.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll start with C25K and proceed from there. What heart rate monitor would everyone suggest?

You may be interested in reading The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I found it to be very informative and there's like 6 months of workouts included.

I think when your daily requirement is as high as yours (and I'm in the same boat as you), I don't think you have to eat all of them back but you need to make sure you're at least netting a decent amount of calories of at least 1200.

I had a Curves membership a long time ago. I liked it BUT if was pricey and it didn't take long for it to become monotonous. They have to circuit and that is it. If you're able to find a gym that isn't too far away that has more options I would opt for that over Curves.

I gained 30 pounds in about 2the months while on Prozac and still haven't been able to take the weight off. I'm struggling with depression right now but because of my experience with Prozac I refuse to go back on antidepressants.

Today was day seven for me. I had to take a couple days off because I stepped on a nail Sunday morning and it hurt just a tad bit. I haven't measured myself but I have lost about three pounds since starting and my clothes are fitting better.

I'm through day 6 today. For whatever reason it seems like I'm having a harder time with the first set of cardio. I'm thinking maybe the warm up isn't enough. I started to do more stretching afterwards and that has really helped with the soreness.

Days 2 & 3 are done. I think I did pretty good yesterday and got up at 5am to do it. By the end of last night I was really tight and sore. I had a very hard time with the first set today and I don't think I did as well as I could have. Hopefully tomorrow goes better!

Day 1is completed. I did better than I thought I would but I can say in all honesty that I HATE jumping jacks!

After the new year this year I new I had put on a lot of weight over the past year and a half so I started eating a little healthier but didn't do a whole lot in the exercise department. My true awakening was this past Sunday, June 5th. Horses have been a huge part of my life for almost 10 years now and last year I moved…

Fast food...there's always some place conveniently located no matter where you are. And I LOVE carbs, I could eat them all day, everyday.

If you're not planning to have kids in the near future you could try an IUD. Several of my friends have had great luck with them. I personally was on various pills for 10+ years and it messed with my hormones so much I will NEVER go back on them.
