  • hi all! for those asking about the 500 miles, it started the middle of June and I have until October 31st to complete them. I've done it before and my best is 250 miles. I'd like to hit 300 miles at worst and I'm 142 miles in so completely doable. For those struggling keep the following things in mind: - Progress, not…
  • I've been off track for a couple weeks, but using this week to get back on track. Tracked my food today finally. Have plans to get a couple stationary bike workouts in. I'm doing a 500 mile challenge that I'm also trying to get back on track with. Wishing everyone a good mindset week! Willpower is not reliable.
  • Are you accepting new people to your thread? I've been following WW for the last 6 months and have lost 30lbs but I'm to a point I need to start tracking calories over points. I've used MFP multiple times before. Hoping to find a new community and support system.
  • Hi all! I'm new here, but not new to MFP. I started October 19 at my heaviest of 246.2. 10/19: 246.2 11/01: 242.9 12/01: 239.9 My goal for the month is to hit 10lbs lost and mostly maintain for the month with the holiday treats. My Long-term goal weight is 180 (I don't know the last time I saw this number, honestly like…
  • I've started back in the last month as well. Been here before. This is the place I do the best. 5 years ago or so I was 45lbs less than I am currently...that's the first time I've put that in writing. Life and grief got the best of me. I feel comfortable 25lbs less than I am now, but feel great at the 45lbs less mark.
  • I hit 25lbs lost!
  • Feel free to add me. I'm down 10lbs in the last 6 weeks working my down to 200lbs, that's going to be about 30 more pounds. I'll be around for awhile :)
  • www.fitbit.com/user/2G8JGN Feel free to add me! :)
  • Just by starting to track what I eat in a day made me realize how badly I was over eating and how I gained so much weight so quickly. After 4 weeks I'm down 8.8lbs. You can start with something simple as counting/tracking your calories and eating at a deficit. I also have a fitbit, which I changed my daily step count to…
  • What she said! I'm a cubicle worker of the world, so any extra calories I burn over that is actually what I consider "exercise". I'm working my way up to more exercise. But currently with the way the settings are I'm losing just over 1lb per week.
  • I have struggled with binge eating and depression for about 10 years that I've acknowledged. And I can relate to your financial situation. It sucks! There are still days where I wonder why I'm doing any of it because I feel like I'm never going to get anywhere. Then I tell myself that even just a month ago I couldn't…
  • This needs a HUGE like and LOVE button!!
  • Breadsticks of any kind. There's no limit it's my weakness. There's a hot box pizza that serves a slice and 6 hearty breadsticks for $5.99 at lunch. I usually cut the slice in half and eat half the breadsticks but by 3pm I'm in the bag again eating the others for a "snack". But really any kind of breadsticks I will eat and…
  • Welcome and good luck! Just remember to take 1 thing at a time. One meal, one choice, one exercise.

  • I have issues with dairy causing bloating and I started with Align and could almost feel the bloat happening. I switched to Culturelle (Dairy and Gluten Free) and had no bloating because it was dairy free. You might try it and see if it helps with the rest of your symptoms. Price wise I think it might be a couple dollars…
  • I had my normal Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino (9.5oz) bottle and a Quaker Chewy peanut butter and choclate chip granola bar. We are having a Cinco de Mayo pitch-in at work today so I'm planning to not eat very well so I didn't want to over do breakfast.
  • This is me also. I got down to a loose 16, but just couldn't get past it. And then injury set in. I have a new plan. I have my 2 best friends holding me accountable. And I'm ready to start the journey again.
  • As many suggestions are here, from my own experience (I realize everyone is different) I was open with my doctor about how I was feeling. My suggestion is don't be afraid of medication to get you back on track and then use diet and exercise to help you to get off your medication. That's my goal. I went through a divorce…

  • I worked on myself during my marriage and it was more noticed and appreciated by my male friends than my husband. I think that was one of the flags my marriage was coming to and end. I too wanted my husband to work out and be healthy with me. His workout was walking the dog and smoking a cigar at the same time. Once I got…
  • Those are the days I put my workout in MFP before I go so I can see how it helps my day, and if I burn enough calories (and have them left over without using them all back up) I eat a little snack afterwards. I get excited to say okay if I go I can have a couple cookies or some chocolate pudding when I get home.
  • I'm actually trying to hit/exceed my proteins and balance the carbs I eat with them (7g Protein/15g Carbs). When you are watching your watching that balance it's easier to eat your calories. You should also try to keep in mind that all fats and carbs are not negative, especially when it's fruits and veggies. If you want a…
  • Congrats! It's very satisfying to be able to see that type of change. I was excited last weekend to find that the size 16 jeans I bought in January are loose at the waist and thighs. And each time I am able to tighten my belt an extra notch it's a win!
  • Favorite part is a toned upper body. Throw in a nice looking face with some killer sideburns and I'm melting.
  • I usually have a Quaker Chewy granola bar - ranging from 90-100 calories, cup of silk soymilk 90 calories or light and fit yogurt 80 calories. If I don't have soymilk, I'll drink hot tea or a diet soda. So typical breakfast is right at 200 calories.
  • I have incorporated soy milk into my diet, and have read that edamame and soy help to alleviate lessen symptoms during that time of the month. It has helped to lessen my symptoms.
