I dont think it has a bad connotation and appropriate word. Guess its subjective you tied it to "food" Food sure- but also habit, cravings, lifestyle changes, etc..... Relapse is simply to suffer deterioration after a period of improvement.

This is good advise. Its hard to have something you cant control steal your joy, focus and energy. All the while wanting to or needing to improve your health or some other aspect of your life.
