i agree. i've seen these tasty looking temptresses at Sams... but i just can't justify the price. i make my own little "thin bread". something i learned to do from my brother. as kids, we were often long on hungry but short on bread. so he would toast the bread and slice it right through the center of the thickness. making…

Sounds good. I'll have to see if I can track them down. Did you cook them on the grill or stovetop?

An "eat slowly" tip I learned... do not place the next bite on your fork/spoon until you have completely chewed AND swallowed the one that's already in your mouth.

Wow, it all sounds great!! Thanks all.

my favorite inexpensive reward it purchasing songs for my MP3 player. This reward does double duty because the new music adds new pep and motivation to my workouts!!

yes, I have hypoglycemia... and yes I manage it quite well. It is important to eat at regular intervals (you have to find what your "limit" is... for me I can't go more than 3.5 hours without the shakes... and when I'm more active and reducing my calories I need to eat every 2.5 hours) However, it is equally important to…

hmm... i'd like to join in with you but I'm on medical restrictions . no impact exercise... no lifting, pulling, pushing over 5#s... and no overhead work. =[ i probably won't be released until the beginning of October. Meanwhile, i guess i can live vicariously through you guys ;)

well, i'm not sure how the science works but... i read somewhere that being in a swimming pool helps fight water retention. i think it had something to do with the water pressure . anyway, i know that when i go awhile without swimming and i get in the pool, i definately have to go to the restroom!!

Thanks ladies. I knew you would have some sound advice. I think I like this one: http://www.lucy.com/jump.jsp?itemID=13749&itemType=PRODUCT&size=&sort=&path=1%2C2%2C238%2C1022&iProductID=13749 ...and it's not cotton so it won't clog the filters! They offer it in more sizes on Amazon though. mncardiojunkie - to answer your…

Anybody out there do water aerobics? I've been doing them and would like suggestions on supporting the "girls". My suit doesn't seem to be giving me adequate support. They are bouncing and bobbing around. So, I find myself holding back during my workout to reduce the motion. I'm considering wearing a sports bra under my…

Wow... does that sound familiar... I've got the same kind of problem with my left leg. Kind of... my problem is neurological and involves lots of other things too. Don't freak, I'm not saying yours is a neurological problem... just that I can sympathize with your frustrations. I've lost 50% of the function in my left foot…

I'm really glad to see everybody checking in. Looks like your all committed to the challenge!!! Had a good day today. Stuck to my plan. Still a lot to do though. I need to get busy making my plan for tomorrow so that I can pack my food. Here's to staying motivated :drinker:

Good point!! I agree 100%. I block my exercise time. The time that works for me is in the evening... not ideal for everyone but great for me because I can stick to it! I also use the MFP food diary to schedule my meals. I changed my preferences to actually say 6AM Breakfast... 9AM Snack... etc. It helps me get through the…

You CAN do this... you are worth it.

Why wait... if you want to lose weight...just do it. Jump right in, start right now! This first step I suggest is... (sounds dorky but it helps) make a list of reasons why you want to lose weight. WRITE THEM DOWN and keep them with you. Look at the list every morning, every night, and before every meal. It will help keep…
