  • Kickboxing is awesome for cardio and will help lose the inches pretty quickly. If you're looking for something to start out there are tons of workout routines out there, I usually start on bodybuilding.com to find one when I'm getting started. Hope this helps!
  • I'm in the army, we run all.the.time. First mile is always awful, but after that you get a groove going. Like gdyment said, try jogging to see if you can hit you 2 mile mark then increase. Don't get discouraged, you'll get there.
  • Thank you so much everyone!
  • Alltacht - i will definitely look into it if the pain persists, weve increased our mileage a ridiculous amount this week so im hoping it is just from that. Thank you for the advice though! • Ill check the book out, thank you so much!
  • Did you try the tennis ball or frozen water bottle approach? The idea just sounds awful. Thank you!!
  • About the obstacle course? It's rope climbing, jumping hurdles, pull ups, climbing and running to each event.
  • I would check in to a near by running store, they usually have doctors that will do a 15 min exam for runners for free! I hope everything clears up for you soon!
  • Right there with you, I was training for a race last year and injured my illotibial (sp?) band and couldnt run for 2 months! Slow and steady this go around, but I started yoga this time too and it has helped a lot! Keep at it youll get there :]
  • You could do some simple body weight exercises at home, the weird thing about exercise (for me at least) the more I did it, the more energy I had. It was my only stress relief through school and working. It sounds like you definitely need some stress relief anyways!! Is there anyway you could bring your kids to the daycare…
  • The cookie dough one is so good! You should try hunting it down if possible :) peanut butter supreme is pretty fantastic! It's surprising that I actually like most of them and they don't taste like rubber! Ha! The apple pie is a classic for sure :)

  • Haha! I haven't tried the mixed berry one either, at least you won't run out of protein bars for a while!! I saw on a website where someone ended up baking the cinnamon bar and put Greek yogurt on it and twisted it up to make a mini cinnamon bun!

  • When I started I was strictly doing cardio, it wasn't until I started weight training that the weight started to literally fall off. I would definitely try some weight classes or your own weight training routine at least twice a week, you'll notice a huge difference! :) good luck!
  • I either completely melt them or turn them into a rock ha! Still working on that happy medium :) I'm so surprised that you hated the strawberry cheesecake! Have you tried the apple pie one? It's fantastic!

  • I'm pretty basic, I just have a bag that has two side pockets which I never use and have a smaller bag that holds all my hygiene items inside my gym bag. I carry a Kroger bag for my swim suit too.
  • Bodybuilding.com has some good recipes for protein bars.
  • For real! Especially with your improved time in this weather! Great job!!
  • I have a hard time with it too, I just try to limit myself to one outing a week as far as drinking. If i do go out more then i offer to be the dd or something. Theres nothing wrong with a crap day here and there though, youll go crazy and end up on a crazy binge if you dont! haha As far as drinks go, I see it as if youre…
  • Depending on how tired I am I will work out when I get off, if not then I just wake up a little earlier. I try to keep all my meals on one day, it just makes it easier for me. Once you start im sure you will figure out what works out best for you, its definitely hard at first, but it gets easier :] Good Luck!
  • For females try and stick with whey isolate protein powders. bodybuilding.com has some great advice as to what to look for, men and women. They also have an online store if you arent close to a gnc. Good Luck! :]
  • In the water youre doing a full work out, your breathing is also different. Swimming is so much easier on your joints too so stick with that if it is easier! :]
  • me too! :]
  • taking breaks every couple of hours is best, but one of the side effects in caffeine is shown to increase your anxiety so be careful on drinking too much coffee. fruits may help cure the sweet tooth.
  • woohoo! go girl :]
  • hello! i also work nights. i end up adding up all the calories starting from the day that i wake up, so friday (my first night shift day) is always a stuggle with making sure im not eating too many calories. Its easier for me to do it that way though, as far as sleeping or working out i would prefer the sleep option if…
