thanks for doing this...I love my crockpot, but I feel like we make the same 2 recipes in it every time!

I'm sorry you feel bad :( But you have the right attitude... keep at it, and you'll see how quickly you're able to start doing it in no time :)

My youngest is almost 5 and still have the stretch marks from both him and his sister! Try to view it as a badge of honor :)

my daily breakfast is: 1 Thomas light multi grain english muffin (the one with 1/3 of your daily fiber), toasted; on it I spread 2 of the Laughing cow light swiss cheese wedges and top it with 2 slices of canadian bacon...everything is super low in fat and sugar, high in protein, and keeps you satiated for most of the…

these sound great! Going to use half for a snack, and the other for that salad

I have the opposite problem- I love the workout I do (zumba) but messed my knees up so badly that I can barely walk, let alone zumba and it depresses me... i'm really worried I won't be able to lose just based on food alone, since I had lost 50 lbs just from doing zumba (not even watching my food), but once I was forced to…

I eat this every morning, and it's yummy, has the right balance of protein/grains so it keeps me satiated all morning and pretty low in cal/fat: 1 English muffin- the multi grain light kind that says 1/3 your daily fiber on the pkg (has 8g of fiber) 1-2 Laughing Cow light swiss wedges 2 slices of canadian bacon, 'fried' in…

I can't repeat what I said out loud since i'll get banned... so let's just say you look absolutely amazing! Congrats

I know this is sort of a non-answer, but it really depends on your body, which means you'll have to play with the numbers as you go. If you find your losing fine by going under calories, but going over on fat/carbs, then stick with it...since your body needs that. If not, try first sticking to the number for your fat and…

amfaery- we're apparently on the same brain wavelength...I posted without seeing your post... CL is awesome :)

I've been using Cooking Light mags for recipes every day this week, and they come out incredible, they're easy, and all the recipes are in the food database here, so you do not need to figure out the nutritional info.

all awesome suggestions...thanks! I wanted to use the yogurt as a snack, but didn't want to waste fat grams on just a snack...would much rather put it twds meals. I'll try the low fat kind, though.

I tried it, since 90% of my friends are runners. Halfway through it, I realized I HATE running. I mean, I abhor it. I'm a person who naturally doesn't like exercise. I played soccer 12 yrs, so I like exercise that doesn't feel or look like exercise! Once I realized how much running wasn't for me, I too became a dropout. I…

Dirty is my perpetual state (of mind).

Definitely do not need sweeteners... the problem I found with Shakeology was that it was too sweet for me...i'm a super-dark chocolate fan... meaning I prefer less-sweet things. Those recipes sound great!

hands down, Bon Jovi and the Eagles :)

Pepperidge farm deli thin w/ peanut butter & jelly, or an apple with peanut butter

I'm like you...not a salad eater at all. Do you like veggies if they're cooked/grilled/sauteed? I find that's the only way for me to get them down. Plus lean proteins- shrimp, chicken, turkey- get more bang for your buck so that it helps you to stay under your calories.

I don't eat eggs either.... or tuna, or granola. I generally have a light whole grain english muffin (the one with 1/3 of your fiber intake for the day), laughing cow cheese wedges and 2 slices of canadian bacon (which I was shocked to find is quite low in calories and fat). Gets in your fiber/grains, and proteins, and…

Try crunches...alot of them. As others have said, you can't spot reduce, but strengthening your ab muscles will help burn. I have the same problem after 2 children, and it's a hard area to get rid of!

Would love to sign up as well... 5% would be around 10 lb... and since I don't run/walk, but do zumba, i'll make my goal to do it 3x/week or more. How do we track this thread? Jodi

according to that website, at mid (which i'm estimating lower since I leave the class looking like I took a shower) I'm burning over 600 calories for 50 minutes (I don't include the warmups). Even if it's a little lower, that's 500 extra calories to use, which makes my day :)

thanks guys!
