  • the book suggest sticking to the 40/30/30 rule. Opinion on that? Prior I've just counted calories. I know that doesn't work for building muscle and strength. So I've been trying to stick to 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat
  • im hoping to start in the next few weeks. my husband is currently on the healthy bandwagon so i was able to talk him into buying the equipment for home. I do great working out at home, i have a treadmill i run on every day and an elliptical. If I have to get in my car and drive to go work out, not gonnna happen. Especially…
  • "You know what I'm going to get you next Christmas, Mom? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it." Makes me think of my mother in law! oh i love it!
  • "MEATLOAF, BEATLOAF, I HATE MEATLOAF" CHRISTMAS STORY!
  • if i had an elliptical i'd be on it every day! you burn twice as much!
  • I know exactly what you mean! i actually stopped counting calories and just focused on keeping my sugar under 15gms, it got the scale moving for little bit, then it stopped again. so this week I'm increasing my miles I run, maybe gonna change my route too.
  • thanks for the input, i'm not actually looking for a "miracle" to get rid of belly fat, the belly fat cure is a "lifestyle" where you limit sugar to 15 grams and carbs to 120grams. it's for wt loss, I've been stuck at my wt for about two months, lookin to get the scale moving. I run 3 miles a day and work 12 hr days in a…
  • i was afraid to quit too, quit with my last pregnancy. it's been two years and i've lost 80lbs since!
  • i log mine under calisthenics. only real accurated way is a heart monitor i guess.
  • when i married my husband we were both unhealthy, i changed after having diabetes with both my pregnancys. he hasnt changed. i dont push him, he still is active, just eat likes a pig. he never really gains wt. so he's not overweight, but definately not "healthy"
  • exersice! it sucks getting outta bed, but sweat it out!
  • awesome, thanks for sharing!
  • i've been on this site since april and i really like it. i had lost the majority of my "baby wt" doing weight watchers and jogging, til i hit a plateau. i was bored with the whole point thing so i found this site, so easy to use. i was 275 lbs when i had my second child 18 months ago, and i am now 200. i know exactly what…
  • er nurse! i'm on board!
  • thanks for all the advice, makes me feel better when i see the red negative at the end of the day!
  • yeah, im not sure where you shop, but i can tell you something is wrong. the point i was making is stay away from the "diet" "low fat" advertised, find what nature gives naturally low in fat. your body processes 100 calories of a banana way different than 100 calories of doritios. advertisement executives thrive off of our…
  • what a coincidence! just went grocery shopping yesterday and that was my goal. skipped the chip and cracker isle too. i've come to the conclusion all the 100 calorie packs may be the reason i'm at a plateau. so i've decided to get the majority of my calories from fruit, veggies and lean meats. i'm a nurse and work 12 hour…
  • LMAO, couldn't figure out what TOM was, is this a new cleanse or something, then it hit me! Too funny!. i go up 3-5 lbs in the few days right before, then once it starts i drop back down. best not to even weigh at all that week if you ask me. plus i munch big time right before, try to stick with healthy munchies but…
  • I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! THEN IT POST TO YOUR FRIEND'S PAGE YOU WERE UNDER YOUR GOAL, KINDA LIKE ITS GIVING YOU KUDOS!
  • i know exactly what you are talking about, seems like there is no "filling" low calorie snacks! what works for me is 100 calorie bags of popcorn with i cant believe its not butter spray! feels so bad and yummy! water with fresh lemon is a nice trick, sometimes it works and sometimes the bottom line is you're just hungry!…
  • as long as the extra weight isnt causing problems conceiving, i would focus more on just eating healthy and less on weight loss. i had similar ideas before i was pregnant with both my children. i wanted to lose wt so i wouldnt get "huge" during my pregnancy. it didnt work out that way, but i can say after having two…
  • it's totally friggn annoying! makes me feel like im an ex addict getting advice from a counselor that used to be an addict! don't take things so personal people! are we gonna start a support the coaches forum next? don't ban the coaches! i think she was joking! get on with your lives!
  • YOU KNOW, I'VE WONDERED THE SAME THING, I'M AT A PLATEAU RIGHT NOW, BUT I'M GONNA CHANGE MY EXERCISE. I USUALLY RUN FOUR DAYS A WEEK, IT'S GETTING TOO HOT SO I'M GONNA START UP WITH MY VIDEOS, SLIM IN SIX AND P90X, AND IT WORKS YOUR WHOLE BODY AND A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WORK OUT TO CHANGE IT UP. LAST TIME I HIT A PLATEAU I…
