I don't have a scale, so I'm estimating based on a bunch of factors: cw: 147lbs october gw: 140lbs ugw: 117lbs

If you are in the healthy range, not underweight, there is no real reason to assume that you are too skinny. Are you experiencing any health problems related to being too thin? If not, you're fine. Do what you need to do to achieve your desired physique (strength training, etc). And take care of yourself along the way, as…

Duuuuuude that's incredible!!! You look awesome!

80lbs in 4 months? It doesn't sound like a good idea. If you are going to be in the Reserves, don't you want to be strong and in good health? You will most likely lose a good amount of muscle mass if you lose weight so quickly. Talk with a doctor and a proper personal trainer (be careful, though. Almost anyone can call…

Currently: The Affair, American Horror Story, American Dad, Orphan Black, and The People's Couch, Supernatural I really, really, really love TV so my Netflix (dvd + streaming) will be way too long because I'm terrible at choosing favorites.

Your transformation is incredible!!! And I second you on that Pinterest mention. I find all my recipes on there. Such an awesome resource. And your doctor is going to be wonderfully shocked. Congratulations on the result of your hard work and determination!

I also would like to add that this is probably cultural. My family is not American. Many non-American cultures (like in East Asia, for instance) find nothing wrong with telling their friends and loved ones when they are gaining weight. It's just not that big of a deal in those cultures and not worth an intense emotional…

Why are you so reactive? I just said that I was appreciative of those who told me I was gaining weight. It didn't offend me because my weight isn't where I find value. I was shocked because some of my clothes still fit. I was shocked because I was still receiving romantic and sexual attention. I also gained weight fairly…

Why not? Not everyone is aware of how much they are gaining. I don't really understand why people get so sensitive about something that is generally reversible and controllable. I was really grateful for those who were vocal about my weight gain and regretful that they didn't mention it earlier. I was shocked to find out…

I second this! Last night, I made a no-grain peanut butter muffin in the microwave in 2 minutes. It was surprisingly tasty (and super easy to make).

raw leafy veggies wrapped in a slice of turkey, chopped boiled egg mixed with spices and greek yogurt (or mayo), cucumber with tuna, tomato slices with lemon pepper, cook an apple or pear with spices.

+1 I agree. Chris Powell and his wife seem to make genuine connections with those on the show. I believe they really care. Their program is a bit extreme, but it is still realistic. Unlike The Biggest Loser, they don't seem to be looking for shock value but instead want to help people change their lives for the long haul.

That's an awesome way to look at it!!

I'll try them. I love all things pumpkin.

I'm sorry to hear that. Both my parents were diagnosed. My dad was always an active guy (construction worker, gym every day), yet he got type 2 diabetes from eating only one large meal a day (too much insulin released at once on a regular basis, according to his doctor). My mom got it because she never exercises and eats…

I've found other pilates videos to be much more aligned with the original intentions of pilates. I am glad for blogilates as it introduced me to the whole thing, though. But, blogilates is less pilates and more a general fitness class with a couple of pilates moves thrown in from time to time (and tends to attract people…

Realize that it's only one week of your life. Weight loss should be for the long haul. Move forward and stop trying to backtrack (making up for last week, etc). Just make healthy choices this week, take the needed time off to let your body recuperate, and chill. If your appetite is super ravenous, make better choices…

I've only seen them online at sites like Amazon.

Thank you for saying this. I think a lot of people on MFP forget that being thin and healthy is a real thing.

Hey all! Female Age 27 Height 5'7" Weight 159.8 (Starting weight of about 184-185) Goal 135 - 140 (though this may lower or increase. It depends on my progress) Caloric Goal 1100 - 1300 (I keep my diary private, but if you'd like to look at to get meal ideas, feel free to ask!) Workout Routine: Pilates + long walks. I may…

It really depends on your build (frame and muscle). Some people look great at low weights, while others look gaunt. I'm 5'7, and I look frightening in the 120s (friends, family, everyone worried about me) because my frame is medium plus I've got a good amount of muscle mass. It's not just about losing fat. It's also about…

That's not a big deal. It's not even a small deal! Over the span of a week, that added less than 22 calories per day to your intake. No worries!!!

This. Is. Awesome.

I'm not into cheat days. I don't think it's a healthy way to look at things when you're choosing to change your entire lifestyle in order to support and maintain your weight loss for the rest of your life. So, if the opportunity to eat a cupcake, for instance, produces itself, and you haven't eat one in a while, eat it.…

I don't think it matters when it comes to fat/weight loss. But, for instance, both my parents developed Type 2 diabetes (even though one of them lives a really active lifestyle and was muscular and in the normal weight range). So, I have chosen to not eat sweet junk foods. I still love my sugar, so I do eat a fair amount…

Think about your hobbies or interests that you have yet to explore. When I hit my ultimate goal weight, I'm signing myself up for dance classes: ballet and aerial. Though, I may start ballet earlier as the course starts in January, no matter what. Also, think about things that fit a more active and healthier lifestyle,…

I eat at least one boiled egg a day (they are filling and cheap). When I was a kid, I had high cholesterol. It wasn't due to eating eggs. It was due to eating lots of junk food and baked sweets and sitting on my keister all day.
-
If you truly are losing strength (though, I would argue that 2 weeks is too short a time period to come to any conclusions), you need to eat a bit more.

Great advice!
