  • I go to my local ymca, they have lots of different classes, my favorites are step ,zumba, stretch and a foam roller class, there are always new people in these classes and if you got a bit early the instructor will fill you in on what to expect.
  • I was having trouble losing on my own so I have rejoined ww, using the simply filling method, and since oct 14 I have managed to lose 20 lbs, for me the accountability seems to be key. I had lost with mfp in the past but was struggling and I did have success about 8 years ago. The leaders here are good ,and talk about…
  • It is very normal for a 2.5 year old to nurse, the world health organization recommends nursing to two and beyond, in many countries mothers nurse their babies til five years of age, it keeps the babies healthy and works as birth control. as for calories burned a toddler may not nurse as much as a smaller baby , they do…
  • I always liked subway if fast food is my choice, and I love the new chopped salads they do, I have an egg allergy so always ask for a clean knife, and always get the real chicken breast in my salads. my only complaint is the lack of egg free dressings, I end up with the franks hot sauce for my salad
  • I just started ww and am allowed plain old rolled oats, I find it stays with me longer then a lot of carbs, and has helped me loose weight these past two weeks,
  • I use real butter if its for flavoring, have been using coconut oil and other oils for baking or frying chicken and stirfrys, and use that sparingly
  • subway is my fast food choice, be careful of the condiments though , plain mustard and franks are about the only low cal condiments they have, The salads are pretty filling if you get all the veggies and chicken breast
  • Thanks for the advice, I will try today 1 meal at a time ,started my day with a smoothie with chia and flax to help make me stay full.

  • I am often hungry and I eat a big salad with lots of veggies in it, or an apple, and drink water when I feel hungry, often you feel hungry when you are actually thirsty, I find days I have a poor nights sleep I am alot hungrier, as well as if I have a big carb day the day before I seem to be hungrier. good for you for…
  • It sounds like you are off to a good start by cutting out some of your higher calorie snacks, remember you want to live a happy life, and I have found that its easier to lose weight if I can still have some of my favorite foods, I just eat them less often and less of them, none of us is perfect , and its what we do most of…
  • I like both, quinoa is a great food to add into your diet , I like to do it with veggie broth and throw in cut up zuccinni, onions and peppers.
  • I love my local ymca , have been a member for more then ten years, at ours they offer a ton of free classes with membership, and the trainers will show you how to use the equipment correctly. They are always friendly and supportive of everyone at my local ymca. Often they will give you a free week to try out the facities…
  • I have been there and done that. Take it as a learning experience, in real life we do sometimes have days like this, the fact that you are aware of it is a big thing. Just have a good week and maybe throw in an extra work out or two and you will be fine. It is good to have higher days at time so our body doesn't go into…
  • I tend to eat the same foods all the time, with a small amount of variation, I like to have a big salad at lunch , but put different veggies in it , and sometimes add cheese or nuts, I have been eating the weight watchers zero point soup as well, breakfast is usually fruit and yogurt or a smoothie, supper time though is…
  • all calories are equal, but that being said some foods will keep you feeling fuller longer, the more fiber and protein you can get in your diet the better, We all have days when we eat foods not as healthy for us, thats life and these foods are ok in moderation, a piece of pizza counted into your calories for the day is…
  • wow sounds like you have made a lot of changes, having type 1 diabetes I would recommend you consult your dr, and maybe have him send you to a nutritionalist to get a diet plan that works for you, I think things are a bit trickier for people who are on insulin
  • um this is not the place to yell at you, we all have bad days, and you can make the decision right now to make better food choices, we all have bad days, weeks , months , years, but we always do have the option to make better choices at any time. It sounds like you know what are are doing wrong, now is the time to research…
  • Try adding more low calorie veggies to your diet as well, I find a huge salad made of veggies with either a low calorie dressing or balsamic vinegar helps me,the more fiber you get in your diet the fuller you will feel, as well getting enough protein will help you stay fuller longer, welcome to mfp lots of help and great…
