  • This was an amazing post (I read and hung on every word)! Thank you :) I have recently upped my cals from 1200 to about 1500-1700 and have finally started losing again. I love reading this and knowing that I'm doing the right thing, not only to lose weight, but in respect for my body and my health! :flowerforyou:
  • 9 - so fit!! Only lose a point cos I can't see your face :P
  • Thanks guys! I ended up buying a Fitbit which is pretty much the same thing.. In particular, thanks for this info: "It's fairly black & white. For instance, i learned that I burned less than I thought I did, so the deficit i thought I had, didn't exist. Once I adjusted based on the data-the weight started to come off.…
  • First of all, good on you for not giving up!! The most important thing is that you just keep moving in some way or another. As mentioned above, just continue doing some of the moves that you can do! Or do half the amount of the difficult moves/go slower etc. Insanity is one hell of a workout, even for the fittest people!…
  • BUMP! Would definitely love to hear of any strategies too if anyone has some ideas.. Such a horrible feeling.. Wondering if there's something wrong with you or if it's just the anxiety. Would also be interested to hear other people's symptoms..
  • Brownie 'n' Berries Dessert Pizza! Ok, so it's not really that healthy but it looks and tastes amazing and is quick and easy to make! It does have berries on it so it's a little bit healthy! ;) http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/brownie-n-berries-dessert-pizza-gluten-free/5b806070-5b48-40d9-8b43-1430af2d79e4
  • She has a perfectly healthy, toned, curvy body. She only looks 'fat' because usually shots like this on runways, the models are extremely skinny, so any photo in comparison where the girl is slightly bigger makes them look 'fat'
  • Yeah it says that it automatically saves any changes made so there's no need for anyone to worry about saving or anything :) Yay! Great work Elisa! Thank you!
  • This is great Hun! Thanks for creating the group :)

  • Bahahahahaha! OMG you're a crack up girl.. I agree, totally annoying and not necessary! They probably wanna check out all your settings cos your so skinny and fit so they wanna copy! :P
  • I love my Polar FT7 ( the upgrade from a Polar FT4). You should be able to pick one up for under $150 no problems. I find the chest strap very comfortable, It's worn unerneath the breast so it shouldn't be a problem no matter what size cup you are. Every now and then I get some abnormal readings but this is usually just a…
  • Banana Smoothie: 1 Cup low fat milk 25g untoasted muesli 1 small - medium banana 1 pinch of cinammon Blend! or Strawberry Bruschetta 2 slices of toast 40g ricotta 3/4 cup of strawberries cocoa Toast the bread, spread with ricotta and place sliced straberries on top. Dust with cocoa powder :)
  • It's probably ideal to update it to keep it as accurate as possible.. Otherwise you might be getting incorrect calorie burns which could effect you if you're eating back exercise calories?
  • Regardless of how long it took you - it's fantastic!!! Congratulations on your NSV - I personally think they're best kind of victory :)
  • Ummmm, YUM! Thanks :)
  • You have to remember it's just a general estimate based on what you ate for that one day.. And every day is not the same. So I think it's completely normal to not be the exact (or evel close) to the weight that MFP suggested "5 weeks ago" If you're losing, you're winning!
  • I was gonna say brush your teeth as well... But it does sound like you have a sweet tooth! Maybe try lower calorie options like a Weight Watchers or Skinny Cow ice cream, frozen yoghurt or fruit and yoghurt. Some low calorie choc chip biscuits (although these can be dangerous if you end up eating the whole pack! lol). It…
  • Whenever you have a spare 20 mins, mix up a black bean salad as follows: 1 can black beans 1 can corn kernels 1 red onion - chopped 1 Lebanese cucumber - chopped 1 red capsicum (pepper) - chopped 2 tomatoes (chopped) Mix it all up so it's combined and then divide into 3 separate containers, there is lunch for 3 days. You…
  • If you're exercising and not eating back most of the calories you've burned, this could also halt you progress. If you don't give the body enough energy to fuel it, it will go into "starvation mode" and you won't lose. Try reading this, the lingo is kind of intense but you can get the idea and really explained things…
  • I think the suggestions everyone has given you are all great ideas... Since you don't think you'll be able to go on you holiday any more, you need to find a new motivator that will keep you focussed and looking at the "smaller" picture ;) Maybe your kids could be an inspiration? Or a certain outfit that you'd love to wear…
  • Hey! I was drinking ISO WHey Protein which is low carb, low calorie (about 118 per serve) and I just checked and think the Sodium is pretty low too. I've included a link to the nutritional info for it. I didn't like the Vanilla but Double Chocolate was nice, I never got around to trying Strawberry. Also, I think I was…
  • Thank you all! I think because I'm sticking to my calorie goal it's not really a problem for me. I also try and incorporate protein into every meal (usually) and I never have a problem sleeping afterwards or any issues with reflux... Great advice everyone, thanks again!
  • Great post! Apples Lettuce Tomatoes Cucumbers Onions Broccoli Carrots Capsicum Pretty much as many fruits and veg as I like BBQ/Roast chicken Almonds Goji Berries Green Tea Laughing Cow Cheese Multigrain Corn Thins Skinny Cow or Weight Watchers Desserts Oats Skinnny Milk Tuna Dried Apricots Aero no fat mousse Cat food...…
  • If you haven't been eating back your excercise calories - start now! It's really helped me, I was stuck on about 75kg and now that i'm eating most (nearly all) of my exercise calories I'm dropping the weight off each week. Have lost at least 2kg in 2 weeks since I've started doing this. Read this... I found it really…
  • You could try making a batch of yummy soup on a Sunday and taking it for lunches during the week.. Or I personally love this recipe, it's so yum for lunch! http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/17399/spicy+lentil+patties+with+pita
  • I agree with everyone else, you really need to try and eat back most of you exercise calories. This can seem like a lot of food but if you eat some almonds or other nuts that you enjoy,it's not too much food but it adds up the calories and they are healthy, good fats. Yould could also add avocado to salads to get the…
  • I make a batch of lentil patties on a Sunday. They taste amazing in pita bread with some rocket, tomato, capsicum dip and tzatziki. Very filling and easy to grab the ingredients from the fridge in the morning and just put it together at work or wherever you are. You can also freeze the patties for a up tp 3 months and just…
