  • Basically to lose a pound, you have to burn 3500 calories more than you consume. So if in the week, you burn 3500, you'll still lose a pound. 7000 for 2 pounds...etc. So ultimately, it does all even out.
  • My boyfriend has been using his for almost a year. I would recommend volcanoecigs.com. Get a variable voltage battery (lavatube is what he has). He tried all the cheaper ones over the last 3 years, and this was the one that got him to stick with it.
  • I've missed a week. I had a migraine last Tuesday (had already completed it for the day) and was sick Wed-yesterday. My chest hurts from coughing, but I'm hoping to get back into it today.
  • Old Navy and JCPenney's xersion line.
  • I started it Sunday, and I'm 5'6" and 300 pounds. It's rough, but I modify. Like, I can do jumping jacks for part of it, but then do something else for the other half. I definitely feel the burn and it's hard, but I feel amazing afterwards. Just try it. It's free on youtube :)
  • I started Sunday and have done 4 rounds (twice on sunday cuz the first time didn't seem so bad....2nd time I felt like throwing up). I am taking tomorrow off because I had a massive migraine today. i can feel myself getting stronger. I love it.
  • Just finished day 3 (but round 4 since I was crazy and did it twice sunday). My body is so sore. Especially my butt and thighs. Which is good since those are my main trouble zones.
  • Both of you look amazing! I just started today. I actually did it twice today. I hope I have similar results! Congrats!
  • this thread made me get off my lazy butt and do it. I just completed day 1. I couldn't fully do the bicycle ab workout, but pretty much everything else. I do quite a few of the moves in my Pulse (like zumba) class, especially jumping jacks, squats, lunges, and punches. The ab stuff got me. Firstly because my floor is hard…
  • The only way I could ever let go was when I would put my arms up like chicken arms and power walk. I'm sure I looked silly, but it boosted my heart rate by getting my arms involved. It helped me balance.
  • So question for you. I am currently 303, and I do pulse fitness 4x a week for an hour and burn between 750-900 calories. So I'm assuming I would be moderate? Should I go ahead and do TDEE - 30% since I have so much to lose? Also, If I use that calculation, I get roughly 2300 calories, and my BMR is 2100. So on days I…
  • That is AMAZING! You've got the best of both worlds, dropping weight AND inches. Keep up the amazing work, and imagine where you'll be at the end of this year :)
  • I'm dedicated to my Pulse class, but since I did lightly active, if I would miss one class (which I rarely have in the 2 years I've gone), I should still be covered.
  • On lightly active, MFP gives me 1900. I was doing that and then tracking my exercise and eating part of the calories back. i just feel like the TDEE method would be easier since it's the same amount every single day. So based on that, you think I should do the 2981- 20% = 2385?
  • What's your daily cal intake? Do you go by MFP or the TDEE model?
  • Can you tell us how you did it? I started at 321, lost weight, gained it back, and started again at 317. I'm at 310 now, but want to get down to 160-175. Any tips would be appreciated.
  • absolutely. Zumba is my Godsend. I have been overweight my entire life. I've lost weight, I've gained weight. I never found an exercise I truly enjoyed so that's why this time is different. Zumba has not only helped me find an exercise I love, but without it, I would have never met the wonderful friends I have today.
  • haha there are pics in my profile. One with my boyfriend is before, red tank is a few weeks ago.
  • YAY! I love this feeling. I don't see any difference in my body even though the inches don't lie, but when I put on pants that didn't fit or were tight and they are loose, I am over the moon! Congrats!
  • I keep thinking if I hadn't gone back to the gym and sauna the 2nd time, I wouldn't have won. That, and changing my sweaty clothes after busting my butt in zumba lol
  • I take a class 4x a week locally. I haven't used the dvds.
  • I love zumba. I have been going since April 1 and lost almost 50 pounds, and as of 6 weeks ago, 21.25 inches. I will have my next measurement done on Monday!
