  • Thanks for the encouragement and advice, the first week and a half I couldn't do anything because of the size of the swelling in my knee. But in the last week I've been able to move around with the swelling dropping a bit and have been working out again. Mostly I've been hyper-vigilant with my diet and I'm happy that I've…
  • 4/6: 259.7 4/13: 257.9 4/20: 252.0 4/27: 252.2 Challenge loss to date: 7.5 pounds. Fractured my knee cap, this is going to be interesting.
  • I fractured my kneecap playing sports two weeks ago and knew it was going to be tough to lose weight being less active. Sure enough on monday I had gained .2 pounds, but I buckled down since then and today without exercise I lost an additional 2.3 lbs! Excited for when I'm able to get back to working out and speeding up…
  • 4/6: 259.7 4/13: 257.9 4/20: 252.0 Challenge loss to date: 7.7 pounds. Great week for me, even after a sunday out with soda and a Brazilian steakhouse and dessert.
  • have dropped 6 pounds since Monday, started in on some weights again after about 3 weeks off from the start of football season. Took a team mate to the gym who has never really lifted in his life and showed him the ropes or at least how I do it. Feeling good hopefully I can pull another pound by monday but with a road game…
  • Last night went out to eat, had a salad no dressing with a ton of peas, cucumbers, baby tomatoes, and an oz of cheese. Also had a 1/2 serving of cottage cheese with some pineapple. The best part of the night was watching my son eat more cucumbers off my plate than fries off of his.

  • I'm not a big dancer so I don't really get into those games. But I wish that Xbox would recreate the Nike+ Trainer that they had for the 360. It is literally the only reason I kept my 360 after I bought the One because I really enjoyed the workouts and I could keep adding extra reps of the entire workout until I was…
  • I wish they would re-release the Nike+ training from the 360 for the XBOX one. It is one of the only reasons I still have the 360.

  • Soooo sorry! Yes a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat, what I was alluding is the fact that if you are losing inches then it is muscle not fat and you shouldn't be too worried about it. Sorry I will try to be more scientific in my responses.
  • Start weight: 260.5 Goal Weight: 240.5 Lbs to Lose: by 12/26 Overall LBS goal = 210 08/01 274.2 08/15 260.5 09/05: 256.2 First 10/03: 255.0 11/07:250.1 12/05: 12/26:<<<GOAL WEIGHT>>> Gotta be aggressive to hit 10 pounds in the next 48 days!
  • Remember muscle weighs more than fat, so instead of viewing it as a plateau make sure you are losing inches. If you are then there is nothing to worry about. If your staying the same and are not losing inches, then yes, you need to adjust something.
  • I guess I should be happy I'm not gaining but boy do I want some PIZZA![/quote] Oh Pizza, we have always had a group on Sundays for football and the dinner was always and still is pizza. But here I am with my healthy meals and I stare longingly at the delicious round food everyone else is eating but me. Haha.
  • Welcome, good luck and remember to focus on healthy and not just the scale!
  • I stayed the same over my last weigh in. But I feel healthier and in better shape. I have taken longer in between weigh ins because I don't want to be discouraged by the scale when I know I'm still making progress.
  • At least tell me it's the good wine, not of the cheap stuff if your going to spend precious calories on a drink!
  • Oh the dreaded weekends!! I have been doing fine on weekends that past month because I have been home and have limited what food is in my house. But this weekend I went on vacation and boy did I ever eat! Having to work twice as hard just to get rid of the weight from that fateful weekend.
  • I agree with the mind, there are so many times I tell myself that I don't need that sugary substance and am starting to be more successful saying no. BUT, sometimes I just can't! Sugar addict, getting better but still pretty rugged.
  • Start weight: 260.5 Goal Weight: 240.5 Lbs to Lose: by 12/26 Overall LBS goal = 210 08/01 274.2 08/15 260.5 09/05: 256.2 First 10/03: 255.0 11/07: 12/05: 12/26:<<<GOAL WEIGHT>>> Only a pound and a half but at least its in the right direction. Need to stop snacking all together!
  • I have returned to full activity including sports so I am back on the path to being physically fit. It was trying and in the past I would have just gorged myself and ate horribly because "I couldn't work out" but this time I stuck to my guns so getting back into it was a piece of cake. Thank you to everyone who gave…
  • I'm sticking to it but this next monthly weigh in worries me because I don't feel like I am losing any weight, even though I know I'm losing fat because my cloths are starting to wear me! But overall I'm excited to see at the same time and it is very motivating.
  • Yay finally cleared to lift and run again. I have to lower any weight that involves intense pressure on my back for a couple of weeks so unfortunately it makes me drop my squat weight for at least two weeks. BUT I CAN WORKOUT AGAIN! Did a looooong upper body workout yesterday and a mile run. Felt great to be back.
  • 1760 calories/day and I usually eat my exercise calories back because I always have a protein smoothie after I workout. I try not to eat other foods just because I exercised. With a 1200 calorie diet I would recommend eating back your exercise calories in some form because your body could very well be under fed.
  • Don't fret too much about it right now because it is most likely water weight. I don't know if you drink soda or have consumed a lot of water the night before but that could be a factor. Also with a low calorie diet you sometimes don't eat the right amounts of nutrients and your body tries to compensate for that or if you…
  • I hope you get better too, it is just really frustrating me because I was on a tear with exercising and eating right with the pounds falling off but now I feel like when I finally heal it will almost be like starting over.
  • Cycling no, I tried it yesterday and it was painful. I'm going to see if I can handle the elyptical today, crossing my fingers.
