Hi, I absolutely agree with you. I haven't had the surgery myself but my hubby had a gastric bypass on 9th December this year, so I feel as if I've had one! How are you feeling? Jackie x

Chocolate, gets me every single time. The longer I can go without it the easier I find it. I only have to have one little bite and I'm a fallen woman.

Hello, and welcome! I'm at 1200 for the day. I usually have up to 300 for breakffast, 300 for lunch and the remaining 600 for dinner and snacks. Obviously it doesn't always work out like that and I'm not manic about it but that seems to be the general trend for me.

i weigh too, and I love your thinking. It's all about accountability, especially to yourself.

Hi, It seems you've had a lot of good advice here and i'd like to add something on a practical level which might put your mind at rest. My hubby and I have been to a few West End shows in London over the last few years and it's lovely to dress up but you'll be just fine in whatever you are comfortable in. I've seen men and…

Bump I'm interested in any replies as my mum has just been diagnosed with this as a result of poorly controlled diabetes.

1. Special K with fruit (banana, strawberries, peach) and a yoghurt over the top. 2. Porridge with banana and a tsp of honey. 3. 2 egg omelette with ham.

Imagine how cross and disappointed you'll be with yourself if you give in.

Hi, it sounds as if you might be anaemic. It could be simply because you're not getting enough iron in your diet but I'd definitely recommend seeing your doctor and getting a blood count done. Caught early enough you might just need iron tablets but if you leave it too long you could need a transfusion. Good luck ;-)

My fingers are slimmer (yes really) and the girls fit a bit better in their bra, no double boob syndrome any more.

My husband and I have put on 11 stone and 6 stone respectively, since we met 6 years ago. We've both steadily gained (I've tried to diet, lost a bit then quit). My hsband was seeing a consultant regarding gastric banding and had been told he needed to lose 20% of his weight before they'd consider him for surgery - it's all…

Mine's chocolate, but it has to be really, really cold, I can't eat it warm or even at room temperature. I still have chocolate in the house, in tiny snack sized portions, like Kitkats or treat sized bars but I keep them out of the fridge, which holds me off for a while. If I decide I absolutely have to have chocolate I…

I'm so with you on this. My own personal weakness is chocolate, which is highly addictive and I find that the longer I go without it the easier it is to refuse it. I'm fortunate as I'm supported pretty well by family, friends and work but it wouldn't take much encouragement for me to step off the waggon. I'd just say to…

Hope it's a lightweight camera! ;-)

Mine is open and I'd love new friends. I also try to write in the food notes two or three times a week at least, like a weight loss diary with my thoughts etc.

Me too! Thanks for putting it out there.

Hi, I've had the Mirena for about three years and it suits me fine. It took about 8-9 months to settle down, during which time I had irregular bleeding and thought it would never improve. However I can now say that I only have a tiny little 'show' about once every couple of months, and that it's so light that I don't…

Hi, Just a thought, could the battery need changing. My scales become a bit unreliable when the battery's about to expire and many a time I've been tempted to recalibrate them by dropping them out of the window! only kidding. Hope this helps, Jackie.
