LMAO @ ODONNA! So true!!! I could go into McDonald's and everything in me would be telling me to order the salad and I know it would be the smart thing to do, but I wouldn't. I don't eat fast food very often, but when I do, I'm at the point now where I can eat a kid's meal and be satisfied with that. I'm FINALLY getting…

Very well said!

Salad, salad, SALAD! That's all these articles are advocating nowadays! Like I'm gonna go into a fast food restaurant with all that greasy, fatty goodness floating around, order a salad (with all the goodies like cheese removed and HALF a packet of LOW-FAT dressing, mind you!) and be satisfied! It's much more realistic for…

Done!

VERY familiar! I don't think 3-4 pounds is extreme at all. I usually retain around 10 pounds! There is nothing I can do to help it. It's been happening ever since I started my period, so I don't even sweat it anymore. I usually stay off the scale around that time. No need to drive myself crazy, lol!

Thanks my 'book of faces', pal!

I'm kinda like that, but I know it's my body's playing tricks on me. Eating anything healthy like fruit, yogurt, whole grains, etc. make me want to hurl. But give me something like junk food or something meaty (like bacon or sausage) and I'm good to go!

Awww..that's so sweet of you.:flowerforyou: I am doing well...just fat:laugh: You're looking GREAT!

Yup, he has. I am so proud of him, too. Lord knows I've eaten some really unhealthy stuff around him while he's been on plan, but he's sticking to it like glue. He's my inspiration for giving it another go. Walking on the treadmill is my exercise of choice, too. I find that doing it at night about an hour or two before bed…

You can also use crushed saltines or other crackers as a breading. But, if you've got bread, then you've got bread crumbs. They're very easy to make, not to mention fresher and better for you. All you do is put your bread on a baking sheet and put them in a 300 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes, turning slices halfway…

I'm giving Atkins (the proper way) another go starting tomorrow. My hubby's already doing it and has lost 29 pounds in two weeks! :noway: He's in the Air Force and it was recommended to him by the Base nutritionist. Would love to keep tabs with ya!

Had these for breakfast this morning with some homemade turkey sausage gravy and a glass of low cal orange juice. It's one of my favorite breakfasts. YUM!

I just posted this recipe in another forum but wanted to post it here, too. Homemade Peanut Butter - Creamy or Chunky (Makes about 17 servings) 1 1/2 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts 1 tablespoon peanut oil (*I use canola oil), more if needed (depending on desired texture.) 1/4 teaspoon salt For smooth peanut…

*I posted this recipe in another forum and it was suggested that I post it here, too. Here's my favorite recipe for biscuits. It's SUPER easy (the easiest I've found) and if you use low/no fat ingredients, it's low fat and reasonably low cal. I sometimes add a bit of reduced fat cheddar cheese and a little garlic powder to…

My favorite thing to make with ground turkey is taco salad.

It's really easy and so much better for you than most of the stuff in the stores. Here's the recipe I use: Homemade Peanut Butter - Creamy or Chunky (Makes about 17 servings) 1 1/2 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts 1 tablespoon peanut oil (*I use canola oil), more if needed (depending on desired texture.) 1/4 teaspoon salt…

Here's my favorite recipe for biscuits. It's SUPER easy (the easiest I've found) and if you use low/no fat ingredients, it's low fat and reasonably low cal. I sometimes add a bit of reduced fat cheddar cheese and a little garlic powder to make those famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits from Red Lobster. YUM! Another thing I like to…

OMG, I am sooo glad to yet another person who understands how to do Atkins the correct way. There is so much misinformation floating around that people misunderstand and get the wrong idea about it. Done properly, Atkins can be a great way of eating. Way to go, girl! You look GREAT and are doing an AWESOME job!

Here they are in the produce section, right next to the tofu.

I've seen them in the small Commissary here on the military base, so I'm assuming they can be found in pretty much any grocery store.
-
Exactly. I'll use a coupon only if it's for something already on my list.

We tried this for dinner tonight . Maybe I did something wrong, but we didn't care for it. We felt the chili powder was way too overpowering. I just looked online at recipes for Burmese chicken and the ones I've found (the ones that actually included chili powder as an ingredient) called for TEASPOONS of chili powder…

Here is one of my favorite recipes for pork chops. It's DELICIOUS! 1/4 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning 1/2 cup creamy caesar salad dressing (can use reduced fat or fat free dressing) 4 pork loin chops with bone (1/2 inch thick) 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (1 oz) 1. Heat oven to 375*F. Spray a 12 X 8…
