Hmm. I'm a vegetarian and I've discovered that I eat A LOT of carbs...white ones in particular. I'm not sure if I'm committed enough to completely purge. Any first step suggestions???? Thanks!

Oo-oo-oo, Cyber, definitely let us know how it went with the squash! I make it very similarly to what is described here. Cut in half with a bit of butter and spices, covered with foil and baked. It smells sooo good, too. A good pairing with chicken and some green beans or another veggie!

Sometimes (ie, most days these days) I get overwhelmed by the whole counting thing, too. But, it's helped you lose so far, right? So, don't chuck the whole thing yet. How about combining some of the great tips here? Stock up on some Smart Ones/Lean Cuisine frozen foods and some of the great staples that WildKitty suggested…

I've been veggie for almost a year. In all the research including speaking with my doc, B12 is the only vitamin you absolutely cannot get without animal products and it is important. Personally, I drink Cranergy because vits make me sick. Blech. As long as you are including a lot of variety including beans and legumes in…

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just go to bed when we're tired? We live in such a scizophrenic society that we run around exhausted half our lives and wonder why we come up with coping techniques like snacking! Got any tips?

Love and prayers to all who lost loved ones that horrible day. I was a teacher assistant in a Virginia elementary school. We were coming back from the library when my teacher stopped in the office to check her mail and found out what was happening. We were in a panicky shock and weren't getting any information. My…

TOO funny! I just read somewhere (vegetarian times, I think) about deconstructing. The one I remember is deconstructing the peanut butter sandwich. Instead of putting the fillings on bread, use bread sticks to dip into the pb. I'm thinking more like crackers, maybe. I have to check out some of these sites!…

I imagine you could use any tea bag .. whatever you like. The ones I use aren't the ice tea Lipton bags, but why not? I've used regular black tea, too, but mostly herbal. Ok. I went and raided my cupboard. Right now, there is black, Lipton White Tea with Island Mango&Peach, and a green box called Stash Premium Peppermint…
