  • I kinda knew all this but good inspirational post for a restart having reached my heaviest weight ever.
  • Joined this a little late but like the idea of a pre Xmas start. I am 5 feet 5 inches. 147 is my goal for next Sept. March 8th goal is 172 (20lb) December 15th - 192 lb January 8th - February 8th March 8th
  • I've no advice but you've motivated me....... Best Wishes!
  • You mean you expected this!? :) :) :) :) :) :) Well Done! FANTASTIC!!!!! You have lost 52 lbs!!!! :) <3 :) <3 :) <3 That's the amount I'm losing. Well 53 pounds actually. 3 stone to go!
  • Well done! What motivated you to start and when did you know "It was REALLY different this time?" Just wondered
  • I've just read this 2 years later but still useful.
  • Hi I'll join you if not too late. I started on Monday. Did Week 1 Day 2 today! Did you get started?
  • Hi mine is open to friends but am looking for some more friends especially ones who are motivated and positive and getting addicted to exercise. Feel free to add me anyone on this page with a little few lines about yourself. Info about me on my profile which I'm updating soon. Lost 2 stone so far and getting fitter.
  • I'm kinda wanting accountability but accountable to myself. I'm doing well and have realised only me can do it and never been so motivated. I've opted for a lifestyle change so yes I have cake sometimes and chips but rarely miss breakfast. I'd like more MFP friends to encourage me and for me to do same for them. Feel free…
  • This made me laugh as I have been tempted but been (kinda) honest with the scales by obviously thinking there's no point kidding myself but we have 2 electronic scales and one is very random and one quite stable so I weigh myself on both and take the lowest. I have been doing this for the past 24 lbs loss so figure its not…
  • PS: i'm going to rewrite my profile this week as at the moment its a load of updates, but one of my goals for later this year/next year is to get a toned body where you can see the muscles like Jillian Michaels!!
  • Hi, I've not done the 30 day shred yet but started it ages ago, got put off, now joined a gym and got addicted to exercise and feel fit enough to start doing the shred now when need to do something at home. I posted on here as you all seem positive and .... I'm looking for a few extra friends, not so much for motivation as…
  • Late reply/update: thank you to all of you who sent positive or otherwise inspiring replies. I have only just read some of them as after initially being upset by 'harsh' words that missed the point of my intentionally self critical posting, I have only just gone back onto the forum boards and there's some good advice and…
  • Hi, I'm 48, have lost 1st 10 and want to lose another 2st 8lbs. Have totally changed my lifestyle and finally got addicted to exercise (but easily distracted by minor set backs such as having a cold or sprained ankle). Been seeing a PT at the gym which has totally increased my confidence. Feeling very positive still and…
  • Hi, I've got the Flex too and love it. I decided that if it is inaccurate at all it doesn't matter as it's still comparative, showing me how one day compares to another. I wore it for first week without adjusting my activity and was shocked to see how little I move when I drive to work and back and stay in at home! That…

  • Yes I love walking too. I say my hobby is hillwalking although I've not done the real hills in a long time but its my target to get fit enough to not need to stop for breath every 10 seconds! I love walking in the countryside and joined The Ramblers. I'm just about to get back into it as my dad died recently and I've had…
  • Thanks for all replies. I've only just realised I got some! My phone didn't tell me! I'll read them all when I get to work later (night shift!). My ipod arm strap arrived and I've bought a new rucksack so now feel very inspired to get fit to get hillwalking again! (I need to stop buying things and planning and just DO IT!
  • One more thing .... it's only 3 miles away so why don't I go !!!!??????
  • Health/fitness related things I've asked for = Slimline digital kitchen scales Various celebrity cookbooks Cotswold gift voucher (kinda health related)
  • I've only just seen this as I'm having a browse around having just got back on board My fitness pal. Brilliant!! I think its better than money for pounds lost as there's no limit ! I'm now considering what to do similar ..... maybe 2 quid for every gym visit.
  • Thank you, good luck you too. I'm nervous as I'm going to the gym tomorrow to meet a new trainer to get started again!!! She sounds good as she's lost a few stones herself to get where she is now!
  • Love your screen picture with all the fruit !
  • That's a good idea, having one of the meals called 'OVERNIGHT'. I have mine split into time slots as I don't like to call it a new day until I've had a sleep, so my later time slot is 1900-0300 hrs but I think the idea of having one called OVERNIGHT that I use oon night shifts would be better. Also helps remind myself and…
  • Hi everyone, I've just returned after a bit of a relapse hence my negative weight loss. Daniel, you've got your diary hours set out like mine, in times rather than meal names, and I take it past midnight too as when on nights, its as if its the same day really whilst at work.
  • Hi, see earlier entry - how was it in Edinburgh. Was it a good motivator for losing weight. Looks like you're doing really well !! I've just signed up for the 2013 half one in London.
  • Hi, I know its a bit late but was searching for 'Moonwalk' as I've just signed up for the 2013 London half one. How did it go in Edinburgh? I'm finding already that it is an excellent motivator for me. As soon as I got my confirmation, I was planning my walking programme and back using My fitnessPal again after a relapse.
  • Becky got missed and I did too (or was 'lol' my rating!!!?)
  • This is a good reminder for me as I am currently more or less at 'before' weight. Have lost it before and back again but always had my 'before' clothes. I'll get taking a few more now. Like many others, I don't have many as avoid having photograph taken.
  • First thing that comes to mind as I've done it .... errrr........ very recently ......when craving something sweet and nothing sweet in the house .....a few teaspoons of POPPING CANDY meant to be put on cakes !! Scared the cat to death though, I think she thought I was hissing !!
