  • Thanks for the responses :-) Mark - I need something more substantial as far as keeping track of calories, I guess my personality needs something more exact. Espescially with my age and I have GOT to lose this weight asap. I agree about the way of life, but I will need to know also going forward what I should be burning to…
  • Hi Y'all New to the board, such a great topic I agree with other posters, would be great to shop in the 'normal' sized section at the store. I want to rollerblade with my 9 year old I want to get into a canoe without wondering what the weight limit might be. I want to go on long bike rides.
  • Thanks for the responses :-) HeyBales, I have 100 lbs to lose, so eating at the weight where my goal will be will be a big deficiet for me as it is. I am thinking that if there is a slowdown, it should be closer to my goal weight. I guess I can do some adjustments when that happens. Lisa
  • My Thoughts exactly!! And seriously, even at my goal weight allowance of 175, there is NOTHING I cant occasionally have, and I don't need to feel hungry..what a concept!!! LisaM
  • Hi Heybales - Thanks for trying, it is still locking up my computer trying to download it and open it. It is not giving me the option to do a save as an excel type file, its only giving me the the option to save as a web type file..html, etc So, thanks for trying, I will stick with Scooby's numbers since I have ready…
  • I have tried to get this spreadsheet to download. It has locked up a couple of times, then I got it to load (from a saved version on my desktop) and I couldent edit the fields Not sure what I am doing wrong?
  • I have had mine since last wednesday. I am really enjoying finding out how far I am walking during the day and how many calories I am burning. I cannot get mine to sync wirelessly though, I always have to put it on its docking station to get it to sync. Lisa
  • Ok, thanks for the responses. I have only had my fitbit for a couple of days, but may do a hybrid. Sort of a set amount everday of calories but more on days when I earn exercise calories. It will give me motivation to walk more. I will be interested to see what my weekly average is next thursday. Lisa
  • I thought I worded that wrong..when it syncs up, it adds more food calories for exercise calories But, scooby already does that when you select an activily level. Could I chose desk job little exercise, 20% reduction and eat back my calories that mfp adds back in for exercise? Tks!
  • Well, I am lookng for something more where I can make comments on where I made adjustments to my calories trying different activity levels, different cuts, etc. So I need a place to make notes espescially. Then tracking weight would be secondary, cause mfp does that for me already, but the notes function in mfp is clumsy.…
  • yah...if you went to scooby and figured in your activity level, scooby does some magical calculations and figures in your exercise calories for you. Sure makes things easier... Good luck! :flowerforyou: Lisa
  • me, me, me, me, me, me, me!!! Good luck! :flowerforyou: Lisa
  • Ok, thats all for the input! :flowerforyou: Lisa
  • Ok, soooo...sorry to beat this dead horse. If I took scoobys calculations at sedentary, then looked up in mfp an approximation of what kind of calories I would burn doing these things, should I come close to scooby's tdee do you think? Course I would have to average it over 7 days..lol Talk about overthinking things! Lisa
  • I think moderate implies more cardio too, but I am figuring 14 hours a week doing this type of work which is way more than 1-3 hours which is where light would fall. thats why I was going with moderate, not as intense, but more hours on my feet. No, scooby doesnt have hard and fast definintions of what light/moderate/ etc…
  • Ok, I was thinking of going with moderate which is 3-5 hours a week of moderate exercise. Think that is too much? Lisa
  • This sounds like really good sound advice to me, espescially the meal before you go. I may follow this advice next time we go to the car races! Thanks for posting! Lisa
  • Sounds yummy..q for you..when you marinade meat, how do you figure out how many extra calories to add in for it?
  • Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream..I am pretty sure that is the answer to all the questions in the universe :)
  • This is where we all run our numbers - http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Plug in your numbers and see what you get!
  • Your calories for the last few days are all over the place. I am new to eat more to weigh less, but from my understanding, you should be eating all of your daily calories. I see on some days you have a 500 cal deficit from what you set your goal at. You dont want to put your body into starvation mode, so I would…
  • Can you give us ur stats? Height, weight?(We can see your actvitity level) What calorie range are you currently eating? When did you start the eat more to weigh less? Were you on very low calorie before? Maybe you need a reset? Lisa
  • Hi all- Thanks for all the great responses. I havent been watching my macros at all. I do fit some of my favorite foods in almost everday, but lately the HUNGRIES have been really getting to me. Maybe I need to pay more attention to my macros and make sure instead of occasionally eating junk food, to watch my macros and…

  • Hi Guys - Thanks for the responses. I am currently unemployed, and dont currently have an exercise schedule. The most exercise I get is light house cleaning, light gardening, and just generally 'hanging out' I figure the urge will come on stronger as I lose some weight and gain more energy. We ate dinner last night at…

  • Morgan - We had and raised Morgan horses Dobes - Nick name for Doberman Pinscher. We have had several, just love them!!
  • Atkins is way to hard to stick to. I tried several times, lost a bunch of weight, but I had to keep my carbs so low <15g a day, it was just not doable for me long term. Check the Eat More 2 Weigh Less group.. You can follow a 'calorie restricted' diet, and if you want to cut your carbs a bit you can, but when you start…
  • Thanks to all for the well-thought replies :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Lisa
