Relax. They all go through it. Let them eat what they want (within reason), but set the example of eating a wide variety of healthy foods. Pretty soon they'll start trying bites of your food.... Start them on a good multi vitamin.

For the same reason every mid-thirties-something woman who starts loosing weight thinks she's getting her sexy back and begins dressing like she's back in her early twenties. It's not a side-by-side comparison, but she's lighter, more agile, more energetic and she begins getting a little TOO confident from the returning…

Alcoholics always talk about missing the days when they could just have a few drinks. Then they begin to rationalize how they can still do it.... Finally, when they don't hear what they want to hear, they binge "just this once." Just sayin....

Salems Lot is most certainly a Top 5, but Thelma and Louise still gives me shivers!

I did. It was (is) great. Now quit writing, get off your *kitten* and hit the gym! Too late? Near a floor? Hit it! Sorry, had to... :D

Does "he" know these things ladies? Just sayin.... Great stories.

Excellent advice! I totally get what you're saying and I applaud your take on women not sitting around waiting for someone else to make their decisions for them. On the other hand, your perspective still says, basically, "if you get fat it's his fault because he's a lazy boyfriend/husband." I surely can't speak for all…

You just venting, or is there an indirect question you want an answer to? Not being a smartass, just don't want to offer an unsolicited opinion. I've got 15 and 16 year old daughters - one with me, the other not. Let me know....

This may be the greatest topic ever posted...just sayin.... :D

More is usually better, but don't get more that 35% of your calories from proteins without consulting your doctor (or if you have liver issues).

Gotcha beat. My soon to be ex-wife told me she was leaving me for "Saeed" on our anniversay. She forgot....

Condo. Never buy anything when you feel pressure. Not the mention, you've already given every reason why shouldn't buy it. You're looking for an accomplice, aren't you? :) (Those who ask for advice are usually asking for an accomplice) ~ Unknown

Unfortunately, these won't do much for your arms and shoulders (they're for chest and back). If you've got bands and dumbells, you've got it made! Front raises, lateral raises, shoulder presses, DB uppercuts, curls, hammer curls, reverse curls, skull crushers, dips, tricep extensions, DIAMOND push ups, kick-backs, and…

What are you using it for? I'm using Mygusion to build muscle/strength.

Make your OB appt. right before you go and ask for lidocaine cream. Works like a charm. Don't ask. LOL

Water or breathing would be my go-to's. "8 cups a day" is for sustaining life. I usually drink at least twice that. Breathing? Yup. One of my lifting buddies recently asked me the same question and after observing his workout for a few minutes I noticed his eyes almost exploded near the end of every set! He wasn't…

Speed doesn't matter. For toning, or shreding, use 4 (sets) x12-15 (reps) with as much as you can lift. Muscle size/weight gain is REALLY hard to increase (my goal is 1/4 lb per week and it's all I do), so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Generally, no. However, it should not be more than 30% of your daily calories. More than that can hurt you over time.

I have to cook all of my meals on Sundays. Not only does that let me eaily grab the meals I need for the time I'll be away from home, it also helps me stay on my meal plan (eat or have to throw it out). Then, I make my last meal the largest (pre-workout) and eat it before I get home to make dinner for the kids (I also…

I'm a gainer to.... 2,500 won't even sustain my weight - in fact, I'm trying to eat 4,000 and still loosing weight.

A single, short, one-week period isn't long enough to accurately judge where you're at. Not to mention, 4.5 is less than a 2% change. Give it 4-5 weeks and KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Welcome! I understand how you feel, but there's healthy weight loss and then there's unhealthy. Unhealthy ways will drop the pounds quickly, but then you'll hear (or may have experienced) the "yo-yo" stories. Depending on your starting size, about a pound a week shows serious commitment to change... So good luck!

It's normal. Focus on eating healthy and increeasing your activity level. You body needs to learn that you're changing your life, not running for it (no need to store energy.....)

Similar to the Italian/pasta girls, I grew up in the Republic of Texas. 1,000 calorie steaks and burgers...huh...who woulda thunk it.

Who cares! Get smashed and have a great time. Just eat before you go out and detox tomorrow. LOL
