Add me if you like. I'm 40. I'm trying to lose a bunch of weight but mostly rebuild some muscle. I've been on MFP for years on and off but now I'm reviewing my weight goals more seriously as I grow older. P.S. I'm also Canadian from B.C.!

Yes I am actually under 5 feet and yes I do use a food scale. And yes I have been logging on here for more than 35 days logging all my food my water and my exercise

Oh I've been keeping track of my food intake and exercise log for well over 35 days now. Before I started doing the video I was increasing my cardio significantly. I just decided to do the video because I wanted something to help strengthen the muscles in areas that I haven't used in a while. The video is a lower part of…

Love this video! I feel more inclined to complete these exercises than I would if I had to put my clothes on, get in my car, go to the gym, and meet complete strangers for an hour and then come home.

Sadly I'm a returnee. But would love to join friends and try to make this work.

Perhaps you should have remained on hiatus. [/quote] Are you spam? Because I can't possibly think why you would have to come on here and be mean with your comments. Especially since I'm just stating something. You don't have to believe it you don't have to like it. I'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm just putting my own…

Well I started off with an Olympic yogart. Then I had a carrot and a celery stick (actual size). I was still hungry so I had one hard boiled egg with a slice of toast. And one bottle of water.

thank you to all! I will consider the options!

Thank you all, I appreciate your hints and kind words!

I say count whatever you like! As long as you are being truthful to yourself and what you did! Your weight loss isn't going to happen if you exaggerate your exercise and eat more. Do what works for you.
-
I agree with the a.m. thing! Early morning cool/ cold air! I can't exercise in the afternoon or evening because it is too sweltering for me. No energy then.
-
Good luck to each and everyone one of you! I do sincerely wish you all the best in your weight loss and maintain! Peace! Maureen

Sorry Tony but any of the dark meat choices are going to be higher in fat and if you are truly serious about dropping weight, you have to avoid this kind of indulgence for now. Don't get me wrong, I love the dark meat from chicken - with the skin on. I got my weight down to 114 lbs a few years ago so I thought, hey I can…

Fruit sugars are not bad for you. But you do have to be careful and to eat protein with your fruit otherwise your body may become susceptible later in life to diabetes. You need to be wary of this as you don't want to unbalance your blood sugars! It is best to train your eating habits early in life!
-
I wouldn't be so concerned about the calories of the watermelon but I would be more concerned about the amount of sugar you ate! Yes fruit sugar is much better for you than refined or processed sugars, but too much sugar is still so bad!! Be so careful and to eat protein when you eat fruit so that your blood sugar balances…

I could not find how to change my ratios. could you direct me?

Okay, first DON'T GIVE UP! That was my mistake a couple of years ago. The weight will come back on and most of the time, it doubles and then becomes even harder to get back off! Stop focusing so much on losing more pounds and focus on what you have done so far and what you are doing now. Keep your routine going strong. You…

Eat them. They are good for you!

I'm from Nanaimo BC. We finally got our hot weather last week and it seems to be lingering here still! But alas, it will soon leave again and we will get rain, and more rain. :(

"According to your age of 34 and measurements of 4' 11" tall and weight of 120 pounds you will burn about 1752.33 calories a day just to keep going. You have to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound, or take in 3500 calories more than you burn to gain one pound. Your physician should help you determine the ideal weight for…

I found this a moment ago from a website: sorry didn't record the address but it was health check usa. Generally, to maintain your weight, the amount of calories you take in should equal the amount you burn. The Daily Energy Expenditure calculator will help you figure out the minimum number of calories your body needs each…

Thank you all again for the support. I really like the idea of buring the calories I am working off in a day. I just started doing some weight training as we just got a weight bench. The thing is though, this program doesn't count how many calories we burn while doing strength training - yet I have seen many people post…

Thanks for the responses, are any of you lsoing the weight though? I feel as if I eat more than the 1200 I don't lose weight but at the same time, if I eat below the 1200 limit, am I still don't lose the weight. I have a workout room and do about 45 min of cardio a day and also lift weights (the weights are new), I try to…

I am. I don't really divide this up though; rather, I eat regularly and it is mostly vegetables and fruits. I just log it as I eat.

I found this site so much more freindlier than some of the others. So far I am way more motivated than before because of all the encouragement and support I have from everyone! Good luck!

I'll join. I am very uncertain I will make the goal but this is my goal so lets do this! My weight start is 120 lbs. My goal is 105 lbs. ( I am only 4'11 so that is why my goal weight seems so little).
