expensive jeans. i've been obsessing over a pair of rock and republic jeans but i told myself i'm not allowed to buy them until i can comfortably fit into a pair of size 6's (the size i was before i put on a bunch of weight).

that is just so stickin' cute. and exactly what a 4 year old would say

that's not bad at all. you still even have a deficit. do nothing. get back on the track the next day. if you had a lot of salty food, drink extra water to help prevent any water weight.

i think it would be easier to change your daily activity level instead of adding the calories every day.

thanks for the recipe!

1. if you know how much you're going to exercise, estimate the number of calories you're going to burn (if you've been burning 300 calories a day for the past week, its probably a good guess that you'll burn as many today) and eat that throughout the day. this way, you're not stuck with a bunch of calories at night. 2. the…

MFP is going to be the least accurate out of all of those. its hard to say which is right but i would go with the difference between your HRM and your omron or pick the lower number to be safe.

as long as you have a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. can you lose with MFP? Yes. can you lose without MFP? Yes. its just a matter of making sure you burn more calories than you eat in a day. if you can be sure that you have a deficit without counting, then you can lose weight without counting.

thanks for the help! i felt like i had to be super cautious with olive garden since serving sizes weren't listed and the restaurant is known for having some outrageously unhealthy foods. it would be luck to pick a 500 calorie food only to find that it had 4 serving sizes:laugh:

i have the nutrition information. it just didn't make sense to me that such a heavy soup would only be 250 calories a bowl and wanted to see if anyone had any insight.

BMI is not realistic and mostly useless. i would go with how you feel. are you comfortable at 160? are you healthy (i.e. blood pressure, cholesterol, physically fit)? if so, then stick with 160. Besides, you can always readjust your goal once you reach it.

i am very sorry to hear this. i work for the suicide hotline and so i have to hear about young people use suicide as a way to get rid of problems that often have very real solutions. you and your family are in my prayers and i hope that you will all be able to work through what ever issues made her feel like this was the…

from what i know, the exact opposite would be true. if you hit a plateau, you should increase your exercise. because you're already exercising everyday, i would increase the intensity of your exercise. when you hit a plateau, it's because your body gets used to your routine so you need to break up your routine. play around…

i don't think so. i've done it. there's an unhealthy mindset that some of us are afflicted with and no matter how wonder the tools we are presented with are, such as MFP, we will become abusive and destructive, even in the best of circumstance. i've had to leave twice now and make a certain amount of peace with myself…

i don't work as a server now but i have in the past. i didn't log it as an individual exercise though. instead, i increased my daily activity level to moderately active.
