  • Yes, they change your life in every way, forever! I gained over 100 pounds with mine. I've lost it all now (they're 6), but still have 10-15 to go until I'm at my happy weight. My advice is don't be too hard on yourself! Having two infants is hard, and your body has been a through a lot. At first, it helped me to…
  • Breastfeeding twins is hard. Just having twins is hard at that stage. Mine were 4 before I could even get out of survival mode long enough to think about exercising and counting calories. So, no real advice here, but I wanted to say good for you for focusing on your own health and well-being. I know it can feel like your…
  • I don't have any advice, but wanted to say hang in there and I know how you feel. The first 3 sentences of your post describe my situation, too. I've lost about 30 pounds in a year and a half and have 5-10 to go. When I get frustrated I try to remember how miserable I was 30 lbs ago and how much healthier I am now. There's…
  • Amazing weight loss! I'm 5 and a half weeks into tummy tuck recovery. I had a full tt with skin removal and a lot of muscle repair. I can tell you that it gets better every day! Congrats to you!
  • Well, all I have to say is that my twins did ruin my belly. They destroyed it. Stretch marks deep enough to drive a car through, handfuls of sagging skin, and a muscle separation 5 years post-partum that the doctor called "worst-case scenario." Was I as careful as I should have been about what I ate? Probably not, but I'm…
  • ThinkThin are my favorite, followed by Pure Protein and Nugo Dark
  • I sometimes have this problem (and I am absolutely, positively NOT pregnant, thank goodness ????). Mine is caused by low blood sugar. Ironically, it makes you not want to eat. I've been doing 14/10 fasting and I have found that coffee with a splash of cream helps when I first wake up.
  • Yes, this! Cereal servings are so disappointing! And then, when you weigh them on a digital scale, you find out that it's not even enough to fill up a half cup. Makes me want to cry every time. I do love my cereal.
  • Thanks for calculating the calories! I'm going to add a tablespoon or two of chocolate chips to the recipe and make these today. Yum!
  • What?! I had taco bell tonight and I somehow missed these?
  • Yep, I have had this happen, too. My favorite part is when they ask if you're sure. Seriously, people, I am 100% sure that this is FAT and not a baby! But, I had 2 huge singletons and a set of twins, so there is a muscle and hernia repair/tummy tuck in my future. I still cry every time it happens, but you should try not to…
  • Yum! Always looking for new chicken recipes.
  • Forget your friend and her loss. You are the only person you're competing with. I started a little over a year ago and didn't see any results for 4 weeks. Around the one month mark, the scale started to move and I started to be able to tell a difference clothes-wise and in the mirror. I think my body was changing the whole…
  • Also tagging because I don't know, but I really hope there is a point where trigger foods no longer trigger. For me, it seems like the longer I do this, the more triggers I have. Just about anything with sugar makes me feel out of control. Intermittent fasting has helped. I don't want anything during my fasting period…
  • Yes, this must have been advice dispensed in every high school health class in the 1950s! My mom always said that if you lift anything heavy (like, more than a gallon of milk), you would injure your "female organs". And she always whispered the part about "female organs," because, you know, it's tacky to talk out loud…
  • I'm in again! Thanks for hosting another!!
  • Today wasn't the greatest day and I needed to hear this. Thanks.
  • Plain, non-fat Chobani with a tablespoon of cocoa powder, a tablespoon of flax seed, and some truvia. So good!
  • I'm 5'6 and weigh 148. I try not to pay too much attention to that number, because I'm wearing a size 6. When I was 21, I wore a size 6 and I weighed 125 pounds. I'm much more fit now, 17 years later, than I was then. That said, my ultimate goal weight is 139. I have had children and my stomach is a saggy mess, so it's…
  • I can do 25 regular push-ups without stopping. A few months ago, I could only do 5 pushups from my knees, so I'm pretty excited about my progress. :) I try to get 1 more rep every workout.
  • I am completely obsessed with Nature's Path Mesa Sunrise with raisins. My husband thinks it tastes like grass, so I get the whole bag to myself, lol. I use almond milk instead of cow's milk.
  • Yes, do it! I just did my first mud run and it was a blast! I will definitely do another. I'm so bruised that I look like I've been in a car wreck, but the sense of accomplishment at the end was worth it. I never in a million years thought I would pay to run 3.7 miles in freezing temperatures and snow, and like it!
  • Hmmm, counting all 4 kids, that would be a total of 31.5 pounds of baby that resided in this belly at one time or another. Maybe I'll make 31.5 pounds my target weight loss goal! And, I should totally cut myself and the droopy elephant skin belly some slack!
  • Well, I blame my big belly on the disgusting gap in my stomach muscles, caused by eating too many fried pickles and carrying twins to term (13 pounds total weight at birth). But, isn't there a real disease (Cushings?) that causes people to have skinny arms and legs and a big belly? I'm pretty sure someone I know has that.…
  • I really like this one from Nerd Fitness. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/
  • New kinds of squats to try! Yay! I have 5,10,15, and 20 pound dumbbells and am hoping to get a barbell soon. After I finished P90X, I started using a full-body dummbbell routine that I found online and had decent results. I'm going to add the pistol and goblet squats to it. Thanks for posting this.
  • bananas and chocolate... yum!
