Help with steps vs exercise points
My exercise points yesterday were 100 MORE than that, but with 2K LESS steps. Why is that?!

Fitbit exercise adjustments going nuts
Anyone else seeing that the adjustments are either not adding exercise calories at all, or doubling, even tripling them?! It's driving me nuts and making it difficult. Been going on for a month or more

Okay to wear 2 fitbits at once?
I got an hr for Christmas and started wearing it mid day today, and am still wearing my zip. It's weird though, my hr is counting more steps than my zip, but it doesn't look like it's counting any double steps. Which is more accurate, a zip or hr?

Hi! The reports that we have to utilize here, the horizontal bar on them, is that the healthy recommended MINIMUM? If yes, I think I'm in trouble, and will have to severely supplement in my diet. Thanks!

Fitbit+Walking in Place
Hello! I seem to be posting a lot of threads lately... Anyways, are Fitbits meant to count any step, including walking in place? If so, I don't think mine's working well.

Home workouts, but with limitations?
Hi! My work recently closed the gym, which was going to be my plan for walking (treadmill) during the Winter when I cannot walk outside. So now I have to do home workouts. I only do walking, and that is the only exercise I have ever actually enjoyed. Now that I can't utilize the treadmill, I need to do something during the…

Might Go Back to 2lbs/wk Goal
I changed my setting to 1.5lbs/week not too long ago. Since then my exercise calories are always in the negative, they go up and down. It's making it difficult for me to stay on track I think, with the fluctuations. I never really ate at 1200/day before anyways... Would it be so bad if I changed it back? The -exercise…

"... Could Be Linked to Obesity..."
So I'm reading the new issue of Parents magazine... Not even 1/2 way in, I have read 3 articles already saying "such and such" is or could be linked to obesity... Isn't what you feed yourself, or your children, as in quantity, the only thing linked to obesity, aside from medical issues??? What is going on?! Drinking more…

How Much I Want to Lose a Week
Hi, I forgot... How do you figure out what to put for your goal, of weight loss per week? I still have mine set to 2lbs/week, but have 47-48 to go now. Isn't it something like, .5 pound per week for every 25lbs overweight? Would changing my setting to 1.5/wk be too drastic? I have never hit my 1,200 goal, because I get…

Fitbit Weekly Progress Reports?
Hey, I got my weekly progress report from Fitbit yesterday or today. The cal in vs cal out for the deficit, it doesn't match what I have logged. Does that happen to everyone else? It is like 2,500 less. Thanks!

Average Weight Lost Per Week
So, for the last 90 days from today, I have burned 704,881 calories, consumed around 591,802 calories. That would give me a 90 day deficit of 113,079, right? Just wondering what the weekly average weight loss would work out to be... I guessed at 1.6/wk. I'm trying to refresh my mathing

Fitbit Trainer Analysis
Hi, So I am doing the free trial of the Fitbit Trainer, and it says that I should be lightly active, but I have a desk job, so... a little confused. I do walk around the parking lot on my breaks, so by the time I leave, I have just under, at, or just over 5,000 steps. I, for the most part, will always hit a minimum of…

Almost Not Obese
I am so excited! I'm sure the BMI calculators on the .gov sites aren't 100% accurate, but I don't care! I am only 4.5 pounds away from not being considered obese :D

What Are You Most Excited For, When You Reach Your Goal?
I can not wait to have a Summer where I'm not so grossed out by my rolls, that I don't have to wear a hoodie day in and day out. It will be 100 degrees with 65% humidity, and I will still wear a hoodie. I can not wait to have the confidence to look in the mirror without a shirt and be OKAY with it... and I'm sure my guy…

Logging Your Weight
Hey, So I logged my weight last week and had gained 6oz since. It was probably water weight, as I was bloaty. Anyways, I logged that... Now when I lose that again, and get (hopefully) smaller, it's not going to count that 6 oz, right? As in, say I go back down 8oz... It won't say that I lost 8oz, just 2, right? Am I making…

Foot Wraps
Hey, I had a question about foot wraps... My Mom suggested that I start wrapping my feet for added support. I have plantar fasciitis and heel spurs in both feet (I have high arches). I also wear orthodics from my podiatrist's office, that doesn't seem to have given me much relief. I've been wearing them for over a year…

Burning calories
Do you burn a bit more calories in high humidity? I just went on a walk through a four Mile wet sauna, and I just want to feel a little better about feeling like a dripping rag. Boob sweat is no joke. If you do burn more, how minimal do you think it is? I'm sure it doesn't make a huge difference, I'm just curious if it's…

Nutritional Info at Restaurants
Every time I go out to eat, I try to log it. Unfortunately, I have not been successful in finding ANY of the nutritional information for the food I eat at their restaurants! I will randomly pick something on here that sounds the closest. Does this happen a lot to you? I will even find some entries from restaurants on MFP,…

Deficit, Still Not Getting It
Hey, I have asked before, but I still can just not wrap my head around how to calculate my deficit. I googled it... Not sure if I'm understanding this, but am I supposed to come up with what my maintenance level for my current weight is, then subtract the actual calories I try to get (1,210), THEN add on my exercise…

Beer Gut
Fact or fiction? I will admit that if I'm left with too many calories at the end of the night, I will drink them instead of eat them. I can't stomach the thought of eating another 500 calories at night, however, I am noticing that my slitheen (Dr. Who reference) belly (you can definitely tell I had a kid a few years ago,…

Food scales at Meijer stores
If you have a Meijer near you, where the heck do you find the food scales? My night crew don't know where, or if, they have them, and I have tried a few different departments. I'm just looking for a cheapo one, and I have heard from people that they carry them. I want to start weight my food to help me in getting un-gross.…

Deficit help...
Hi, I'm really confused about the deficit... FitBit says I'm "in the zone." Am I supposed to be in the zone? If my daily caloric goal is 1,220, to lose weight, am I supposed to burn a minimum of 2,440 calories? I'm dumb when it comes to this stuff, and thank you in advance!

Cheap Fitness Tracker??
I was thinking about getting a tracker for my calories when I go on walks, or to track calories burned during daily things, like around the house. I am new to this, and don't have the extra $$ to spend on a Fitbit. I won't be doing any running, at least not for a while... Any recommendations for something cheaper? I don't…
