Scale hasn't moved, but I feel flabbier
This is strange, but I've maintained my weight. However my pants are horribly uncomfortable around my midsection. Pants that were loose not too long ago now feel tight. What could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Spike shoes?
I'm looking at buying some new running shoes. Since I kinda/sorta would like to be outdoors to walk/run, I saw shoes that have "spike receptacles". Does this mean you can take them off if you don't need them and just go about as normal? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question lol.

Just so tired
I can't even keep count of the number of times a day my eyes glaze over. Things have been incredibly stressful for the past two months. Everything is causing stress - work, home, everything. I'm trying to break the pattern by going for light walks - I just need to do something good for myself.

I just need to start
I have massively fallen off the wagon. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do/what I should do/what I need to do. It's all so confusing. Right now I just want to start walking. It's easy to do and it's free, and it's a heck of a lot more than I'm doing right now. The other problem I have is this whole gluten free/wheat…

Best Program for Limited Space/Equipment
I have a tiny gym, unreliable treadmills, an elliptical and a couple spinning bikes. Oh, and a rack of free weights and a private room beside the gym to follow videos or do yoga if you choose. I'm not a beginner, but I haven't followed a workout plan in ages. What has worked best for you? Videos (such as Beachbody) or free…

Spinning Bikes
Hi all, I moved to a new place and the gym, albeit small, has a couple of spinning bikes. I've never taken a spinning class before but I would be interested in trying them out. Is it just a matter of changing intensity throughout the workout?

Need advice from passionate and driven individuals...
who at one time were not. I'm stuck in a rut. A fitness rut. A life rut. If anybody out there can give me some advice, some motivation, some tips to get the ball rolling and how to go about making things happen, I would really, REALLY appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance for anyone who can take the time to listen!

Finally have a plan
I'm basing this plan on goals I've always had (and never achieved), things I enjoy doing and where I want to be in a month or so. I always wanted to run a 5k. Therefore, I will be starting a C25K program. Supplement that with rollerblading as well, because I love it. I've split up my weight training over four days - 2 days…

Giving the gym a chance
I started a weightlifting plan last night. I was all gung-ho on following it. So, I forced myself to go to the gym last night and do it. Fair enough. Right now, I'm already loathing going to the gym and doing tonight's workout. Heck, I'm looking forward to tomorrow which is a rest day. Does it get easier or am I just a gym…

Why I gave up wheat
Bear with me, I realize the errors of my ways... I became somewhat interested in the whole wheat allergy/intolerance thing awhile ago. I gave up wheat. I lost a lot of weight. The things I thought would be better from giving up wheat stayed the same. So cutting wheat was supposed to cut anxiety, depression, help you sleep…

I don't think my plan is enough
Right now I rollerblade (intensely) for about 30-45 minutes, three days a week. I started doing some simple bodyweight exercises like squats, push ups, etc. My guess is that I can leave the cardio alone, but I should throw some more intense and consistent weight training in there. A bit about me, I'm 5'6", 132 and looking…

My calorie goals
Sorry, I know this post has been done a million times. I am 5'6" tall, 132 lb. I had set a goal of a pound a week, therefore MFP told me 1200 calories a day. I have been doing this for about a week (was away Saturday/Sunday, but did not deviate from what I usually eat during the week). I'm trying to maintain some sort of…

Plantar Warts
Anyone had issues with plantar warts before? I have two - one on each foot (how nice and symmetrical). I started treatment for these things about 7 months ago, quite aggressive treatment in fact. So, in April of this year, I was told by the doctor I would need just a few more treatments. Those came and went. Then I got…

How did I get this way?
I think I may have the answer. I always ate pretty much whatever I wanted, but in moderation. I stayed active (marginally). Things didn't bother me, I liked my job, I enjoyed doing things, etc. I would say in the past eight months is when I saw the weight gain. Did I change what I ate? No, I just ate more of it (out of…

Soduim intake
Hi all, I noticed that the canned ham I use for salads and whatnot carries almost 750 mg of sodium for just half a can. While I can fit that into my daily sodium allowance (according to my diary), should I be watching for single servings of items that are high in sodium or just worrying about my daily allotment? I also…

Making a lifestyle change
I apologize in advance for my ramblings. I have come to realize that if I want to get healthy and lose this weight, it's not something I can do on a 1/2 *kitten* basis. I either commit to losing the weight and getting in shape (and change my lifestyle accordingly) or I muddle through it, exercise when I feel like it, and…

Today is the Day!
I have been here for awhile, but today I commit myself 110% to proper diet and exercise. I hate the way I look and hate the way I feel even more. I will not give up. I will do this! My goal is to lose 5 lb by September 1st. Today I'm going to invest in some multivitamins, I will try and get lots of sleep, and I will be…

Supplements for Women
Thought I'd throw this out there and see if anyone can give some advice. I am at a loss when it comes to finding good supplements to my diet. I should probably be taking a multi vitamin, but I feel like I get a decent amount through my food anyways. My biggest issue is lack of energy, being irritable (this could just be…

The motivation to change
I'm bored and tired of being bored and tired. Lazy, unhappy, overweight, etc. So today, I'm making some big changes. I need some hobbies, so I'm reaching out to get some information on a masters' swimming club in my area. I'm not going to be intimidated or scared to join something new. I've always wanted to take up yoga,…

Planning my workout
I've managed to collect exercises I enjoy doing, and ones I want to try. So far I've decided I want to do the C25K program. Since this is 3X a week, I will supplement the rest of the week with swimming and rollerblading or other sports/activities (just because I like them and find them easy to stick to). I also want a…

Failed so many times but ready to start again.
Hi everyone, I was pretty active on MFP in the past, but have since given up on eating healthy and exercise and placed long work hours and stress in its place. When I get home from work, all I want to do is sit and do nothing. But, pants that were once loose are now tight and uncomfortable and I just can't stop reaching…
