Switching from smoking to vaping nicotine.
Just switched from smoking to vaping with a high powered mod sub ohm 6-12mg. Has anyone else switched from smoking to vaping nicotine and gained weight? I have heard that nicotine increases metabolism. I am just wondering if where you get it from matters. A cigarette vs a vape. Thanks!

Ok, used to be 400lbs, lost a bunch. Bought a hand held BIA. Omron 306cHBF. I know they are not super accurate. At 192lbs I had a BF of 15.5 per BIA, Dexa'd 2 days later at 12.7. I am just wondering, I am thinking of pushing up protein intake. I know high protein diets are safe, but I am 180lbs and have 250 grams a day. Thinking of pushing to 275... keeps me full and well... I like protein. Just looking for thoughts.

I have noticed, as I have actually become more active recently, my fitbit burns have actually decrease for the same amount of movement. Trying to decide activity level.
Hi everyone. Just trying to figure out activity lvl for mfp. I average 13500 steps a day, lift hypertrophy weights 4 days a week x 1hr each, do yoga x2 day a x 20mins, and so 6x10min hiit bike sessions a week, and work around the house.i also have a job where I am on my feet 10hrs x 3 days.

Muscle adaptation after weight loss.
I was reading a research paper by Hirsch and Libeil. It stated that muscle become better on running on less fuel. 20-30% I think the numbers were. Has anyone here actually calculated what they burn per hour exercising? I think that you could get a good idea by VOX testing, correct?

Maybe I am odd, I actually am LOL, but I have had real trouble meeting women that share my passion of nutrition and weightlifting. I do live on a small town, so that might not help, but most of the women I meet just want to eat crap food and watch tv.
