Losing weight in the beginning
Has anyone else after beginning to lose weight thought maybe they weren’t losing and the scale was just wrong? I’ve lost 35 pounds all together (the half of which was done without MFP took years) and its almost surreal to me. I weigh less now than I did in my teens.

Not visually seeing a difference
Over maybe 3 years I have lost 36 pounds (16 of which have been recent, consistent loss using MFP. The rest came off, came back, and off again over a long period of time). Is there such thing as low calorie chili?! Lol
I made a pretty simple chili yesterday and i put the ingredients into MFP and also measured how many cups I had of it once it was cooked. I had 5 cups of chili so I put that it serves 5, 1 cup per serving. And that one little cup was 353 calories. Add a serving of rice and it really adds up. There was no room in my calorie…

Slowed progress
I’ve been doing MFP for a little over a month and I lost 10 pounds fairly quickly but then nothing this past week. I wonder if maybe I just lost water weight and now it’ll be a while before I lose any real weight?

Stressful day

What’s a serving of pancakes?
I made pancakes this morning using Great Value Complete extra fluffy pancake and waffle mix. The box says a serving size is 1/3 cup. It does not say if that 1/3 cup is dry or as prepared. I’ve only been on here for maybe three weeks. I think I came out of the gate strong (well, the first two days I didn’t do too well, but after that). Tracking food while out
Any tips for how to make tracking easier when eating out/other than home? Going to an event today which will of course be serving food. So I won’t know brand info, etc.

Hunger
I’ve only been using MFP for 10 days. My calorie allowance is (obviously) a good deal lower than what I’m used to eating and so I get pretty hungry. I’ve also started going on walks and afterwards I get even hungrier. I also find that after exercising, when I get hungrier, it’s harder to stay within the calorie Allowance.…

If MyFitnessPal counts my steps when I go for a walk to I still need to add a walk under “add exercise”? Or is the exercise of walking counted automatically when the app counts my steps?

Added exercise
I have MapMyWalk along with MFP. When I go on a walk using MapMyWalk is the walk automatically added to MFP? I see that MFP counts my steps during the walk. Do I need to also go “add exercise” and put the walk in manually? Or is the walk counted by MFP tracking my steps?

Screen time
I see that notifications pop up saying how much screen time I’ve had through the week and the average per day. But once that notification is gone, is there somewhere I can go to view my screen time stats?

Newbie Question
Hello, I’m Christina and I just started using the app yesterday. I was wondering, will the app automatically have tips pop up on how to change up your diet or exercise routine as you log it? Or do you just have to review what you’ve logged and figure out how to adjust?
