What’s a serving of pancakes?

I made pancakes this morning using Great Value Complete extra fluffy pancake and waffle mix. The box says a serving size is 1/3 cup. It does not say if that 1/3 cup is dry or as prepared. It also says one cup of mix makes 5-7 pancakes. So I used one cup dry mix and then measured 1/3 cup of the prepared batter for each pancake. It made 6. when I went to log the pancakes it said a serving was “1/3 cup dry/ three 4’’ pancakes. Well, I ate two pancakes. I have a hard time believing that three pancakes are only 140 calories. Also three pancakes seem like a lot to me. I think going by the box, a serving is one pancake (1/3 cup batter) at 140 calories. For right now I have logged that I had one serving.
What do you guys think? How many pancakes are in a serving?

It doesn’t matter how many pancakes your amount of batter made. It matters how much of the ingredients you ate. You can make that batter into one huge pancake or a dozen tiny pancakes.
I found this image for the nutrition label:
The nutrition info is for dry mix. If you added anything other than water, you also need to add those calories. For example, if you put oil in the pan, then you should log the oil.
In the future, if you are only cooking for yourself, you can weigh out 39 grams of pancake mix (or however much you want to make) and log that, rather than worrying about the size of your pancakes. This is far more accurate than using measuring cups and spoons.9 -
The serving size and nutrition information on packaged foods is always as it is in the package unless otherwise specified. So, 39 grams (which may or may not actually be 1/3 of a cup) is for the dry mix as it comes in the package unaltered. You would greatly benefit from using a scale as the cup and spoon measurements on foods are often inaccurate.4

All of the pancakes I can eat in one meal is my serving lol...sorry I seriously love pancakes. I worked at IHOP as a teenager and pretty much lived off of banana nut or blueberry pancakes and sausage...otherwise what the other posters already said...I hope you enjoyed your pancakes!!0

Some foods are way too complicated for me to calculate and/or try to be exact. Pancakes are one of those foods unless I'm only making them for myself. If I'm making breakfast for other people, I'll have three pancakes that are about 4 inches and call it a serving. The label says,"1/3 cup dry mix makes three pancakes" for 140 calories. "Slightly less than 1/4 cup" is the amount of mixed batter to pour for a pancake, and that it would be about 4 inches. Make them that size. Close enough for something like pancakes.0
