Just a hypothetical question:
For a small-framed, sedentary person...if you were to eat 1200 calories a day, and did zero exercise, would you lose weight? I know it is better for your health to exercise, just wondering on a hypothetical level.

Something is wrong...
I have not lost a single pound over the last month, and in fact, the scale has crept up 1.5 lbs. Prior to this month, I was being naughty and eating only 1000 cals (suggested for me is 1200). I lost weight for a while doing this, but then it just stalled out completely. So I thought I would do as this site suggests and…

I really shouldn't watch Food Network...
Just saw a commercial for The Neely's, where they were drizzling glaze over a pile of doughnuts...that's evil! :grumble:

Green Tea ♥
If you have a Costco membership, they sell a big box of Ito En Matcha Blend Green Tea imported from Japan...branded as Kirkland Signature. It's good yummy stuff. Anyways, I love a big mug when I'm feeling peckish but need to save my calories for my proper meals/snacks. Zero calories but it takes the edge off hunger, and is…

1st day on Jillian's Shred...holy @!&^%
Omg... I've been using the treadmill steadily for the past 3 months...I *thought* I was in ok shape. Uhhhhhhhhh no, not even close! I just finished the lvl 1 program and she kicked my butt. Wow I haven't been that thoroughly exhausted in a LONG TIME. What a great workout! Grueling, but great. I'm getting a HRM in the mail…

How much do you lose per/month on average?
I can't seem to get beyond 2lb / month...at this rate I'll be at my goal weight in one year, which is somewhat depressing. Anyone else in the same slow boat? I wonder if its the fact that I'm fairly small-framed and don't have THAT much to lose...or if I just need to push myself harder exercise-wise? I currently do 40 min…

Don't hold the rails!
Just a little reminder, if you use a treadmill, don't hold the rails! I've been dead guilty of doing this in the past and as a result, have been cheating myself of a proper workout. Here's an article from American Fitness: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0675/is_4_19/ai_76693640 The synopsis: "For weight reduction,…

Japan vacation
My husband and I just returned from an 8 day trip to Japan. We ate whatever we wanted and did not try to diet whatsoever. I dreaded the scale this morning, being the first day to weigh myself after our return home. To my surprise, I actually lost 1/2 lb. In Japan, it is very rare to see someone 50 lbs overweight. Obesity…

Arf! 560 calories
I just joined this site today, and am lamenting my meager calorie allowance  I want to lose 2 lbs/week and that's what it set me at (before exercise). I do exercise daily so that bumps me up to 670, but boy, I think I'm probably used to eating at least double or triple that! Guess that's why I never lost any weight…
